The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

@AmrikanDesiAnon Well said. This is a misunderstanding by many Indian immigrants from top schools. I was also guilty of this view that I “deserved” something due to “merit”. But if the demand is for constructions workers, market will prioritize them!!
@steveschale 1. Sara Gideon story looms large.
2. Overall multiple story lines showing incompetence of Democratic Party insiders. here, MI Senate, CA gov etc.
Bill Fulton: The New Geography Of Where - Remote work is settling down in a post-COVID geographical pattern. But capital is more mobile -- and causing more fundamental shifts to the geography of America's places https://t.co/Tqe2ykZYE1
@AmrikanDesiAnon Ok. I am in Austin and I will never claim this. Especially with Houston and Dallas around. Lot better these days, and a solid tier B city in terms of Indian options.
Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.
Only one chance in this lifetime…
Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him.
I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.
The Artemis II astronauts were all smiles on the flight deck of USS John P. Murtha after they were extracted from their Orion spacecraft after splashdown.
Welcome home Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy! 🫶
The Artemis II astronauts have splashed down at 8:07pm ET (0007 UTC April 11), bringing their historic 10-day mission around the Moon to an end.
Ok last one: the rarest solar eclipse of all time. Only 4 people have seen this with their naked eyes. The sun is fully behind the moon. The only faint light hitting the near side is reflecting off of earth, 250,000 miles away. And the stars and galaxies in the background, sheesh
