@schmangee@xmatt Reading this one nightly with my 2 yo. In the end, Scarry is a Dingo apologist. Officer Flossy catches Dingo, but at what cost? Also this auto carrier thing is nonsense. 5 out of 5 stars my kid loves it
@pkoonce@PetruSofio The bike signals look protected to me. Three have turn arrows holding vehicles during green for bike/peds and a fourth is a one-way street (no turns over the bike lane)
@afrolatinax introducing Congresswoman @RepPressley: “We need to ensure people closest to the pain are closest to the power”. A lived experienced in a car-free household and relying on public transit informs the policy she’s advancing at the state level today #NACTO2022
“Nothing about us, without us”. Talking about designing for non-visual navigation and one of my favorite topics - tactile warning surfaces, esp around bike facilities. But before you design it, you need to talk to the community you’re trying to accommodate #NACTO2022
And @MayorSiddiqui of Cambridge and Mayor @katjballantyne of Somerville discussing fare free pilots. Three female leaders on the forefront of rethinking how cities can reshape how people move 🙌
Boston’s Mayor Wu @wutrain opening #NACTO2022 by describing her own reliance on public transit as a parent. Don’t elect leaders who just talk about transit - elect leaders who ride it!
@schlthss @PghDOMI True, but sometimes the little things are hardest to prioritize! DOMI partnered with @BikePGH to assist with siting and property owner coordination. So great they were able to get this program off the ground together
I put in a 311 request for a bike rack in front of our neighborhood daycare awhile back and it appeared! Thanks @PghDOMI ! Hopefully this encourages more parents to bike rather than drive 😁
