I am creating a site
https://t.co/RVoS0ZNJrZ
that summarizes the key data.
Help in building this site would be appreciated (it is Wordpress).
Please retweet this, it is important to have an accessible summary available, and that has been sorely missing.
@atuntable Munster was listed as a "partner" on the DEFUSE proposal at the January 2018 DARPA PREEMPT Proposers' Day, but was not listed on the final submitted DEFUSE proposal.
@R_H_Ebright There is a danger that when a notorious gangster is charged with Jay walking that we get all moralistic about the evils of jay walking and forget all about the murders.
Being associated with DEFUSE is the real crime, but it is not illegal.
@PaulRic56123559@scarredeye@grok Nothing "Just" about it. Baric is foremost expert in his field. Years of research to make Covid-19. Like saying engineers just threw a bit of oxygen in a rocket and went to the moon.
@rogermcevilly@gdemaneuf@thackerpd@NIHDirector_Jay That is Fortress Australia. They also confiscate tiny bits of coral to protect the billions of tons of coral on the reef. Mostly nonsense. But then let fire ants in on containers and not eradicate them before they spread.
@gdemaneuf The smuggling of natural samples by Virologists is not the major risk, and would be legal with additional paperwork. What is dangerous is when they enhance those viruses in the lab, which is perfectly legal.
@gdemaneuf@thackerpd@NIHDirector_Jay Why bother importing viruses that you can simply sequence and then recreate from scratch? This seems like a very obscure charge.
But if pursued it would show Munster is not being protected by Intel or The Science. That is the interesting part.
I have no idea if it's true, but I can't help noticing that we left the critique of the Covid response, in this case of vaccines, to the extreme right and to extreme right media such as GB News.
Liberals might indulge in the belief that it's all the better, since it automatically discredits this critique in their elites circles. Good for them for feeling safe for now, but just imagine the consequences if this critique turns out in the future to have been founded - imagine the kind of boost it will or would give to the extreme right.
I personally think it's a very, very dangerous game to play and it would have been a much better and safer calculation to include this critique in the liberal view of the world instead of pretending it doesn't exist.
@TylerAStepke@NewsfromScience@sciencecohen Virologists are quite capable of producing devastating bioweapons without AI, e.g. Covid-19. This is just deflecting noise "look over there, at AI". Alpha Fold is used throughout biology.
And the AIs will not need virologists in order to replace humanity.
@R_H_Ebright Reckless virology requires heavy regulation regardless of who funds it. Virologist s have proven themselves to being totally oblivious to the huge risk humanity that they create a regular basis
The 'Chernobyl of Biology' was the 1977 H1N1 leak. It already killed more people than Chernobyl.
The lab of leak of COVID killed over 1000 times more people than Chernobyl.
Accidents will keep happening until we truly acknowledge our mistakes and learn from them.
I know my position sounds harsh, but I really believe that individuals continuing to support the cover-up in 2026 are meaningfully threatening our safety and biosecurity. We cannot afford to treat them as credible voices on biosecurity issues going forward.
@MonaRahalkar It is not illegal to be a bag man lobbyist, half of Washington does that. Not illegal to create lab made pandemics, and The Science says Covid-19 was natural anyway. The only thing Daszak can be charged with is sloppy paperwork, not providing reports that NIH never demanded.
@MonaRahalkar It really is stunning. This is not some minor incident that was covered up. Not something kept secret. The lab origin of covid is obvious. And yet we do not release data that we in the west have. And it is now all yesterday's news.
@RonboReagan@iranidaturan Indeed. And Trump fundamentally does not care about the deaths of >10,000 protestors. He just got bored and tried to do a deal with the regime. No thought, no plan, no intelligence.
@R_H_Ebright@JohnRLottJr Knowing maths is obsolete. Just as a calculator makes knowledge of long division irrelevant, so AI makes knowledge of maths irrelevant. AIs do a much better job than most humans today. Same goes for writing. And thinking. Education is obsolete.
:-(
@Ayjchan Reminds me when for Covid-19 they crowded 100s of people from many different airplanes in a stuffy room for hours so that they could be tested for Covid-19.
