Have just finished reading 'Autism Missed and Mis-diagnosed' by @DrJudes03. An excellent resource for both parents + profs (TW: distressing experiences discussed). Explores systemic failure to understand the varying presentations of #Autism and how that leads to blame and harm.
The #LeDeR2022 report which investigates deaths of people with a #LearningDisability is published today.
The report finds people with a learning disability are still dying decades earlier than the general population and 42% of deaths were “avoidable”.
