Debunking the Phantom Debts and Ecological Loan Fallacy
My attention has been drawn to trending claims by the Anambra State Government that my administration left behind inherited debts, including a ₦2 billion ecological loan, contractor liabilities, and unpaid salaries, gratuities, and pensions. This is completely false.
We systematically liquidated historical gratuities and arrears dating back several years, amounting to over ₦35 billion. At the point of handover, the state owed nothing in salaries, gratuities, or pensions, nor did we owe anything to any contractor for projects duly executed and certified.
The ₦2 billion ecological fund in question was released barely three months before the end of my tenure for the Oko/Umuchiana erosion crisis. Despite pressure to spend the money, I refused, insisting that it should be left for my successor because government is a continuum and the funds were tied to a specific project.
The money was therefore left 100 per cent intact in First Bank, in Account No. 2018779464, with a balance of over ₦2.13 billion.
It is important to stress that funds tied to specific projects or set aside for particular purposes were not even included in the over ₦75 billion in savings we left behind.
If anybody can establish anything to the contrary, I will stop campaigning. -PO
Now people don’t even know what Lorem Ipsum is and their first website is a SaaS product hosted on Netlify with Google auth, stripe payment and Resend . 😂
Interesting times.
@TosinOlugbenga Fair point. But doesn't it also mean those same 4 engineers can build more products in 6 months instead of just one?
Productivity gains don't always mean fewer opportunities.

ATTENTION: Australia’s ban on the use of social media by Under-16s just took effect. Why such a huge decision by a developed nation? A powerful principle is at play: what their citizens see and hear consistently is shaping their future.
Transformational leaders know that the way to create sustainable change is to shape culture, and to do that you must shift mindsets and values. To shift mindsets, you must be intentional in influencing what your people see and hear consistently.
I show how to leverage this principle for personal, organizational and national shifts in my book, “SHIFTS: 6 Steps to Transform Your Mindset and Elevate Your Leadership”. It’s a must-have for CEOs and their team members, and for use at corporate retreats. Available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Walmart, Target, etc. Or ask your local bookseller.
@PureMinD__ My first vacation to UK, I was a contract staff in bank.
Flight, visa, walk-in-appointment fee at TLS, paid for 2weeks hotel in uk, and I bought things for my family on my way back to naija. I spent less than 600k.
Major fee was flight ticket that cost N253,000 round trip.
Even though Travis Greene is not the standard, most of you have no problem with his songs in spite of his tinted hair, Chandler Moore wear nose rings and tattoos, Joel Houston who heads Hillsong United has different tattoos on him; most people sings their songs without having issues with their personalities.
However, you now have problem with some wearing a headband bearing Jesus when you all wear face caps bearing the pictures of your pastors.
You are probably acting on the background of cultural ignorance without even knowing it.

Dear @GWR,
APPLICATION FOR THE RECORD OF THE MOST NATIONAL GRID COLLAPSES IN A SINGLE COUNTRY.
I am writing to formally request that Nigeria be recognized and awarded a world record for the most collapses of a national electricity grid.
As of this year, Nigeria's national grid has experienced a record 11 collapses, with a strong possibility of reaching a dozen within the next 2 days.
This frequency... approximately a 90% chance of collapse every two days...makes it a significant, global precedent. We believe this unique statistic merits official recognition.
Moreover, Nigeria has also become the only country to constitute a committee on National grid collapse. (Another potential world record)
The number of collapses can be authenticated by the official National Grid account on X , where each collapse is publicly documented.
In other words, this is officially amazing.
As a dedicated Nigerian and the applicant for this record, I respectfully request the exclusive right to receive this recognition on behalf of the country.
This honor can remain with me until another Nigerian applies in the future, because the grid's instability na sure 10 odds.
Thank you for considering this application.
I look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
General , Snow.
(Nigerians tag @GWR , let's bring this home)
