My husband and I were talking about this this morning— how, in a previous age, conquest required an organized force with leadership there to head the charge. Now, true to our post-COVID era, the people leading the conquest are doing so remotely.

Left-wing tyrants realized that they can accomplish the same goal of conquest without organization, without a plan, without a formal declaration of war. All that’s needed is chaos. Release the barbarians and have them do what they do.

It’s first a demoralization strategy. The native people are scared and angry but have no recourse at all. Any reprisal will be punished, and most people just want to keep their family safe and be happy, so they keep their head down or move.

Then, you have a totally weak populace - the neutered natives and the primitive newcomers- that legitimately need a tyrant to bring order for survival.
