Does anyone get more out of their roster than Brad Brownell?
24 hours after losing Carter Welling to a torn ACL, Clemson beats North Carolina to advance in the ACC Tournament.
Blood from a stone.
@SimpleCRE Just had one of these. Sometimes you realize the emotional toll is much more important than the financial side. Not every deal works as underwritten and if you’re right 80% of the time, you can be a great investor
Last Friday, left tackle Tristan Leigh was invited to speak to the Clemson University Board of Trustees about his Clemson experience.
We thought the entire Clemson Family should hear his full remarks.
When they say it'll happen by Friday, here's what actually happens:
90% of the time:
Friday passes, nothing happens, no update.
9% of the time:
They tell you on Friday that they need more time.
1% of the time:
They actually get it done by Friday.
The bar's low, friends.
@TeamHerrold It won’t let me DM you but just fyi, the beautiful skyline you displayed is actually Greenville, SC. Slightly different downtown than Greenville, NC. Just thought I’d let you know!
I do often hear parents telling their kids things like “If you do that again we’re going home” - and then they do it again, and the parents don’t actually take them home.
Empty threats are damaging in so many ways.
Duke just won arguably the toughest remaining ACC game on its regular season schedule.
Absolutely NOTHING standing in the way of the Blue Devils being the No. 1 seed in the East on Selection Sunday.
That means Raleigh and then Newark in the NCAA Tournament.
@sdskol1983@PardonMyTake You can’t imagine any fan caring about a player quitting midway through a game against a top 25 team (that they ended up losing single handily from his decision)?
This realization stopped me in my tracks:
The people I read books about are never people I would want to trade lives with.
Everything you want in life comes at a price.
In the case of many of these people, the price of their success was not one I would be willing to pay.
Importantly, there's a List Price you see and a Real Price you don't:
• The List Price is the actual, direct price to pay for the thing you want (effort, time, energy, etc.).
• The Real Price is the List Price plus the indirect price in the form of the tradeoffs and opportunity cost of the pursuit.
In the case of many of these legends of industry, the List Price might have been the countless years of 24/7 hard work and focus, but the Real Price also included the loving relationships strained and the health deterioration from the nonstop schedule.
In any endeavor in life, there's the List Price you see, and the Real Price you don't.
Before you go after anything, make sure you know both.
What I've learned: There are many things in life that look like a great deal based on the List Price, but a ripoff based on the Real Price.
For me, thinking clearly about the List Price and the Real Price of the things I want has helped create a balanced existence.
I spent most of my life thinking that I wanted to build something enormous, be extraordinarily rich or famous, and have some large buildings named after me.
But while the world certainly needs some people to continue thinking like that, as I've gotten older, I've realized that the Real Price of those things is not one that I'm willing to pay (at least not for now).
It would almost certainly mean giving up many of these special moments with my wife and son—and I'm just not willing to do that.
It's so easy to measure our worth according to the societal defaults of money, fortune, or fame, but the reality is that a truly wealthy life is much deeper than that.
To help, I created the Wealth Score as a comprehensive way to measure your life across the five key pillars that define a wealthy existence.
1. Time Wealth
2. Social Wealth
3. Mental Wealth
4. Physical Wealth
5. Financial Wealth
Use the Wealth Score Quiz to assess your baseline across these five dimensions. This baseline will be what you measure your progress against as you build and balance your life across the seasons to come.

If Clemson basketball were to bring back the old pregame video of the Tiger outside of LittleJohn chasing down the other team’s bus, we will win a National Championship.
