@popgomouse@ry_mccabe@clawrence@TheStalwart People don't put tariffs in FM but they might put clauses that pass on any tariff costs to the customer. So this would rarely be FM
@ChristophKnig8@Rainmaker1973 Simplifed: underground vegetables are hard and take long time to cook so starting in cold water makes the outside slightly less mushy by the time to inner part gets done. Overground vegetables cook faster and often retain color and flavor better when cooked fast in boiling water
@ONAN_OUS How do you like those stones? I don't like the feel of my naniwa superstone 1000 and 8000 while my beston 500 and suehiro rika 5000 feel amazing to use. But I guess this is just personal preferences
@AllthingsLNG @MihirMalhotra17 Contango is due to the market structure; not the contract settlement. To benefit from contango you need only storage (e.g. a ship), a forward sales contract and the possibility to buy spot
@Nina_Metz@mcmansionhell I live in snowy conditions. In winter I like to put the car in the garage so that it's warm when I come back but in summer that pregarage would be more convenient (some shade, more room to get out, no opening of the garage door etc)
@hjkhelsinki Voisiko tuon junnupääty kyhäelmän kuopata heti kättelyssä? Itä on ollut hyvä konsepti (aurinko paistaa, fiilis hyvä klubipäädyn vieressä junnut saa kätevästi otettua kuvia matsin jälkeen pelaajien kanssa jne.) En usko että saan omia junnuja montaa kertaa pohjoiseen palelemaan
@cpgrabow Agree on the absursity of importing LNG from Europe (the highest price globally in Feb22). The shipping cost were probably mostly sunk as the ship was probably anyway going from Europe to the US but still dumb to remove LNG from the most expensive market
@emeriticus I leave my younger daughter for a few minutes in my unlocked car with keys in the ignition (so she can listen to music) when dropping off my older daughter at school. After all, who would steal a car with a 4 year old in it?
@packyM It's possible to have much better risk management techniques than stop losses so she's not wrong. But it has the advantage of being super simple. Not having stop losses probably requires quite a lot more sophistication than these guys had
@MidwestHedgie@JCoumarianos Share buybacks are tax efficient from the shareholders pov (only the people who sell shares realise profits) but that tax efficiency might be a loss for society as a whole
@Heptoop@bradgessler@davidu The directors who lack in talent but are good in corporate politics always fight for the positions with deliverables very far into the future. Allows them to basically hang around for 5 years without anyone noticing
