Just spitballing... there's a kind of blend of a "core conservative culture" overlayed with modern progressive beliefs that seems really unworkable

- Con enough to be "responsible"
- Modern enough to define "responsibility" as being career/education/no-kids focused

If they were more Lib they would have accidental kids and raise fertility, and if they were more Con they would be fertile trads

Instead you get this "follow-the-rules" culture where the "rules" in question are anti-fertility

I'm not too big on conspiracy theories.

But it strikes me that a huge amount of the narratives and worldviews on this site seem calculated to cause American decline.

Quite possible that much of this stuff originated as a "psyop" and then caught fire on it's own.

A few paid influencers to start with, now it's propagated by an army of NPCs who really believe.

A lot of this stuff is just truly bizarre. Stuff like the fantasies about breaking up the country, Russophilia, demoralization about Chinese invincibility, BRICS hype, totally false historical narratives claiming that material living standards have fallen, etc.

If 50's era communist subversion was real (and it increasingly looks like it was) there is no reason that this new wave of anti-Americanism isn't likewise a genuine engineered subversion.

Much of this stuff feels like a memetic disease that you would deliberately infect the population of your enemy with.
