Around 800,000 people in the UK could wait over a year for an ADHD assessment.

In some areas, patients can wait up to 5 years.

No one should have to spend hundreds in a private clinic just to be diagnosed and access the medication they need.

The NHS needs proper funding, now.

There was a lot of emphasis on ruling out other mental health conditions rather than considering comorbidity, and no mention of ADHD being misdiagnosed as 'just' anxiety and depression.

I was annoyed by the talk of "powerful stimulants" - man was prescribed a starter dose of extended release Concerta. Obvs important to assess risk factors, and I am concerned about overworked clinicians not checking that: could give someone a heart attack!
