The cheetahs that landed in Kuno in 2022 still thought June was winter. Because in Namibia, it is. Shorter days. Cooler nights. A thicker coat growing in, exactly as their bodies had been doing for generations south of the Equator.
India does the opposite. June is heat and monsoon. Same months, inverted world.
So some of them grew a winter coat in the middle of an Indian summer. The fur held the rain. Ticks moved in. Collars rubbed wet skin. They scratched. Wounds opened. Maggots followed. Three adults didn’t make it.
Nobody had a textbook for this. Not the Namibian team. Nor the Indian scientists. The pineal gland only reads night length.
The ones who lived through a full year began to reset. The cubs born here never had the old clock at all. Thirty-two of them opened their eyes under northern daylight. Their coats, their breeding, their sense of when winter arrives - already Indian.
That is the quiet part of the 52. Not just numbers. A species that crossed the Equator, paid for the mismatch in skin and blood, and then handed a correctly timed body to its young.
Nature is stubborn. It is also faster than we give it credit for.

Pune has failed as a city.
And it genuinely hurts to type that as someone born and raised here who still owns houses here.
The traffic is pure, unending hell. Politicians and bureaucrats like @mohol_murlidhar@ChDadaPatil@navalMH@Dev_Fadnavis make beautiful promises, collect their cuts, and disappear. Coffers full. City empty of solutions.
@PuneCityPolice drop showbaazi videos of “catching criminals” for the algorithm. @PuneCityTraffic post fancy videos about how perfectly they handle the roads… while the actual roads look like a war zone every single day.
The RFD project is a catastrophe that’s actively worsening the urban heat island effect. Trees get felled at random and left rotting for weeks. There is no real public transport. Nothing serious is even planned. Just more roads, more digging, more flyovers - all of which do one thing: invite more cars and more chaos.
And the people. Native or migrant, doesn’t matter. Everyone drives like they own the entire street. Pure lunacy. Zero accountability. Never admit a mistake. Never improve. Never simply say “sorry” and move on.
I’ve seen lawless driving in this city since I was a kid in the passenger seat. It was never good. But at least back then people didn’t turn every small inconvenience into full-blown road rage.
These days just thinking about stepping outside takes a real mental toll.
Anyone else who lives here completely done with this place?
Harsh reality of IT no one talks about 🚨
- People are getting stretched beyond working hours
- WFO policies keep employees away from family
- Some managers misuse their power and mentally exhaust teams
- Women return from maternity leave and still manage work + newborn together
- Upskilling never stops, there’s no escape from it
- People think IT jobs are easy because of AC offices, but they don’t see the pressure behind it
- One production issue at 2AM and you have to open your laptop immediately
- In many families, both parents work while kids grow up with hired caretakers
- People only see the packages in IT.
- Very few see the pressure behind them.
A motorist traveling near Lonavala successfully foiled a potential scam after being intercepted by two unidentified men on a motorcycle. The suspects aggressively signaled the driver to stop, falsely claiming the vehicle had an outstanding bank loan of ₹10 lakh. Sensing a trap, the driver remained inside his car with the windows rolled up and contacted the police, causing the suspects to flee. Authorities are now warning car owners to stay alert against such high-pressure intimidation tactics on isolated road stretches.

“Brahmins profiteering at the expense of the Indian people,” says @RealPNavarro.
Clearly some desi on Team Trump has told him “Sir, the racist shit didn’t really land, let’s try caste.”
Attack Dog-in-Chief’s latest right ahead of Modi-Putin meet.
“I want Indians to understand what is going on. Brahmins are profiteering by buying Russian oil at the expense of the Indian people,” says Trump’s trade adviser Peter Navarro
Upma was served in a breakfast every morning in a hostel with a capacity of 100 people. Out of those 100 people, 80 people used to complain every day that different items should be made instead of upma.
But, the other 20 people were happy to eat upma. The remaining 80 people wanted to cook something other than upma.
The hostel warden voting method was proposed as some decision had to be reached in this chaotic situation.
According to this, whichever tiffin gets the most votes, that tiffin will be cooked that day.*
20 students who wanted Upma cast their vote accurately. The remaining 80 people cast their vote as follows.
18 - Masala Dosa
16 - Aloo Parotta & Dahi
14 - Roti & Subg
12 - Bread & Butter
10 - Noodles
10 - Idli Sambar
So, as per the voting results, Upma gets the highest number of votes, and again the same is served every day.
Lesson: As long as 80% of the population is selfish, divided and scattered, 20% will rule us.
This is a silent message.
The Importance of Pujara and Rahane . That one end blocking by Pujara and those forgotten important 40’s and 50’s by Rahane rescued India so many times when top order had a bad day. We need those 40’s now . Jaddu can do it . Cmon India.
