IRAN WARNS: IF WE DON’T SELL OIL, NO ONE WILL
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf issued a stark warning on Tuesday: if the United States blocks Iran's oil exports, no country in the region will sell oil, and no infrastructure will be safe.
Speaking during a parliamentary session on September 29, Ghalibaf dismissed US claims of control over the Strait of Hormuz as baseless. "The delusional American president recently made verbal threats regarding the Strait of Hormuz ... the truth of this baseless comparison is known to everyone," he said. "Both the Americans and other countries should know that, as we have said before, in a region where we do not sell oil, no one will sell oil, and if our security is not guaranteed, no infrastructure will be safe."
The remarks reaffirm Iran’s stance on refusing the war of aggression launched by the US and Isr*el on 28 February. The US reimposed a naval blockade on Iranian ports in July, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent predicted Iran would deliver its final oil shipments to China "within two weeks" before having "nothing left to trade."
Analysts note this is not new; during the 1980s "Tanker War," Iran threatened the same, driving oil prices sharply higher. The difference now is that the US blockade has actually halted Iran's seaborne crude exports for nearly seven weeks, the longest such disruption on record.
The threat carries weight because the Strait of Hormuz is the world's most critical oil chokepoint, with roughly one-fifth of global petroleum passing through it. Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Qatar, and the UAE all depend on it. If Iran follows through, the consequences would extend far beyond the region.
three years of genocide, unabated.
but we need to create multi-million dollar campaigns and commissions of inquiry to protect the hurt feelings of the people directly or indirectly conducting the genocide.
Because Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not want to be seen treating Palestinians as human beings ahead of Israel's October 27 national elections, his forces have ratcheted up the daily killings of civilians in Gaza. At least 13 Palestinians have been killed and 42 wounded in Israeli attacks across the Strip since Tuesday, Drop Site reports from the ground.
Netanyahu's Western backers, the U.S. and U.K., are also helping Israel deprive Palestinians of basic essentials ahead of the election, including tents, food, medicine, prosthetics, wheelchairs and crutches. Axios and Haaretz reporting in August shows that the @BoardOfPeace and @jaredkushner have given a green light to escalate the cruelty to help Netanyahu win over an openly genocidal electorate.

Henry Kissinger died at one hundred years old.
In his bed.
After a life that included, by documented record: the secret bombing of Cambodia, the facilitation of the coup that brought Pinochet to power, the green light to Indonesia's invasion of East Timor, and the continuation of a war he privately knew was unwinnable because losing it before an election was politically inconvenient.
He died at one hundred years old and was eulogized by heads of state.
This is not an aberration.
This is the terminal destination of a system that has no external enforcement mechanism for the people at the top.
International law exists. It has courts.
Those courts have, with some consistency, prosecuted African heads of state and Yugoslav military commanders and Rwandan génocidaires.
They have not prosecuted an American.
Not one.
The law, like most things, is differently weighted depending on which direction you're looking from.

Understand what that means about where the consequences actually live.
The US🇺🇸 has finally withdrawn all of its troops from Iraq🇮🇶, 23 years after its disastrous invasion and occupation.
But Iraq will still not have complete sovereignty: since the 2003 invasion, Iraq’s oil revenues were placed into the Development Fund for Iraq (DFI), held at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
For years, Washington sent Baghdad pallets of cash on cargo flights derived from the oil sales.
To this day, custody of oil revenues at the New York Fed remains in place today as an account of the Central Bank of Iraq and gives Washington the ability to essentially control Iraqi politics and the economy.
Earlier this year, the US threatened to stop Iraq from receiving its oil revenues if parties it considers ‘pro-Iran’ were included in the new Iraqi government, despite the fact the formation of the new government was based on a democratic election which took place in November 2025.
When the US claimed it would bring ‘democracy’ to Iraq, it was code word for US domination. US troops, despised by the Iraqi population, may finally be leaving, but Washington’s leverage over Baghdad remains.
The US has withdrawn its forces, but retains a more decisive form of leverage: controlling Iraq's access to its own oil revenue, which is held at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Staggering.
