Excited to share our new work by Jay Park @janghyun_park_ and friends! Jay found lymphoid structures in the skull bone marrow that seem to be serving immune hub role for the brain... brain, after all, may not be using "common lymph nodes" but rather has its own unique immune hubs and Jay showed their role in brain tumors... but their role in likely much more than that. This is a long paper but it is worth the read || https://t.co/Im4zCdqmQQ
1/6 Thrilled to share our new paper in Nature Neuroscience with an amazing team of collaborators: CRISPR knockout screens map essential genes/pathways for neuronal differentiation and implicate PEDS1 in neurodevelopment.

Do you agree that @ben_title et al.’s report in @ScienceAdvances suggest a regulatory mechanism that tune dorsal horn output in acute pain conditions and could contribute to pain chronification? https://t.co/WX5Tcdaqxd #PRF#EditorsPick
Excited to see my final work in the lab out in JNeurosci @SfNJournals! Through single-cell simulations, we explain the Ca2+ spike response to synaptic perturbations and ACh modulation. Special thanks to @mikilon, @Segev_Lab, @MichaelDoronII, @ELSCbrain: https://t.co/X0ImEHNBy7
Check out our new paper about the role of the corpus callosum in interhemispheric correlations in awake mice. Big thanks to Yael, Yonatan Michael, and Keti for their wonderful work.

Our new study: what causes the tissue specificity of diseases? Analysis of tissue-specific essential genes shows that preferential expression explains a minority of cases. Instead, we provide evidence for other mechanisms like paralog interactions and intercellular communication.
Three studies, including ours, were published recently on POGZ, a high-confidence autism gene.
Very nicely covered by @avaskham@Spectrum

After a long journey, our paper has finally been published. We studied the function of POGZ, a risk gene for autism and other NDDs, by generating a brain-specific KO. The mouse showed developmental, cognitive, and social abnormalities.
