Excited to announce: In 2027 I'll join the UW Allen School (@UWCSE) in Seattle as tenure-track faculty in Computer Science!
My group will advance core geometry processing + 3D AI for visual computing, science, & engineering. I'll be recruiting PhD students in the next cycle!
I've been unsettled lately. Reading messages or papers feels like dissociating. Everything seems a bit alien, even if it's completely human. I've had a realization: When our simulations finally exited the Uncanny Valley, they brought the Uncanny with them. https://t.co/fdrKq6MkbM
Registration for our 3-day Boston Symmetry / TagDS joint conference is open now! Check out our registration link and event details in thread. There will be contributed posters and talks, an array of invited speakers, a dinner social, and more!
And here's a few places you can find us during the conference:
— Oral talk: @thisismadani with collaborators from NVIDIA and Microsoft Research: "FLIP2: Expanding Protein Fitness Landscape Benchmarks for Real-World Machine Learning Applications" (Tue, Jul 7 @ 10:15am, Hall D2)
— Workshop: Join @jeffruffolo, @AadyotB, and the Profluent team: "E1: Retrieval-Augmented Protein Encoder Models" (Sat, Jul 11 @ 2:25pm, Room S317)
— And our very own @park_jungy will be presenting work from his PhD: "Discovering Symmetry Groups with Flow Matching" (Wed, Jul 8 @ 5pm, Hall A #3010) and "Smoothness Errors in Dynamics Models and How to Avoid Them" (Thu, Jul 9 @ 2:30pm, Hall A #2200)
I'll be @icmlconf presenting our work Smoothness Errors in Dynamics Models and How to Avoid Them, with Luisa Li, @park_jungy , and @RobinSFWalters !!
Come see our poster #2200 , july 9th, 2:30 PM – 4:15 PM, hall A.

@icmlconf@park_jungy@RobinSFWalters In our work, we prove an approximation error lower bound to understand how these unitary layers can be overconstraining. We develop a constraint relaxation, and show that it excels for solving diffusive dynamics where smoothness is not preseved.
(1/8) Happy to share that our paper LieFlow has been accepted to #ICML2026.
Symmetry is a strong inductive bias in ML, but you have to know the symmetry in advance. Can a model discover it directly from data, for both discrete and continuous groups? 🧵
@bostonsymmetry is hosting a poster session (4-5:30pm) + social on Tuesday, June 9th, at Northeastern! All are welcome to come chat about geometry, symmetries, + AI!
Location: Raytheon Amphitheater, https://t.co/uYjUlqwxzC
Register here: https://t.co/pR7FyySz8I
We are planning a poster day event at northeastern u in the Raytheon amphitheater, coinciding with a visit from the wasp geometric ml reading group from Sweden! The event will take place June 9, further details on registration, start time, and a dinner social are forthcoming!
We’re hiring Research Scientist Interns at @reactorworld in SF to work on open problems in world modeling. Open to PhD students — you’ll have serious compute, mentorship from senior researchers, and our full support to publish at top venues. Application link below!
We are thrilled to announce the next conference in the TAG community— a collaborative conference brought to you by TAG-DS x Boston Symmetry Group— the 2026 Boston TAG-Party! Join us August 18-20 at Northeastern to rally behind “No AI without mathematical representation!”

AstroAI was present last week at #NeurIPS in San Diego. We brought 8 papers to the conference, had good tacos, and made great new friends! Remember, we are hiring! Get in touch at https://t.co/TFjgKTh1Zj
It's finally here! We've just released all of our COSMOS-Web images and catalogs, along with an interactive viewer where you can explore the data! Check it out at: https://t.co/ntVNI5eS3M
Registration is now open for Boston Symmetry Day on March 31! Sign up by March 21st at https://t.co/kjpiejs0gB
We have an exciting lineup of speakers (see our website: https://t.co/2V7RQwloCW )
Also featuring a poster session so you have a chance to present your awesome work!
