Wrapping up my first week as a postdoc in the Eckersley-Maslin lab at @PeterMacCC!
Excited to be diving into epigenetic plasticity in cancer and looking forward to working with a fantastic team!
You still have time to register. Deadline extension to Monday 19th February! Come and join us in Hinxton for some lab and computational work on low-input epigenomics. We'll share our science and have some fun at the local pub ;)
Very happy to have shared the PhD journey with so many wonderful colleagues and friends @vaquerizas_lab ! Thank you for your support and guidance along the way @vaquerizasjm
Benjamín defended his PhD thesis on Wednesday! Although we couldn't all be there to celebrate in person, we're all super proud. Congratulations, Dr @bhernanr!!
The comprehensive atlas of developmental regulatory elements in zebrafish is published today in @NatureGenet https://t.co/CjhNki9yj3. In addition to the BioRxiv submission https://t.co/koMC0IW6fH in this paper we added further resources and results. (1/n)
DANIO-CODE is proud to share our findings and a huge multi-genomics resource on the regulatory elements in the development of #zebrafish. We analyzed 1,802 previously (un)published sequencing data sets across 38 developing stages and 21 assay types. (1/n) https://t.co/FQ6Zn6StOE
If you're interested in #TransposableElement regulation, check out the latest work from @SalvadorAznar3 and @AAvgustinova
In brief, endogenous retrovirus misregulation due to G9a loss in the mammary gland trigger inflammatory response and impairs normal mammary gland development
We're excited that our latest work on genome organisation in Drosophila, led by our postdoc Liz Ing-Simmons @liz__is, is now published in @NatureGenet! #OpenAccess thanks to the @MPDL @vaquerizasjm https://t.co/HcP6jE0mBm

Happy to see this story out @stemcellreports. Great collaboration with Konstantina Chanoumidou & the team of Tanja Kuhlmann at the University Hospital Muenster @UK_Muenster https://t.co/pFwUyGDoVP
We started the this project with the ambitious goal of studying how the germ line links generations at the beginning of life. Now I like to think that goal is achieved and we better understand how the germ line forms. Great thanks to all co-authors
Happy to share our preprint on the role of retinoic acid to induce zebrafish pancreas, part of my PhD thesis within the @ZencodeITN https://t.co/1kCUTQStOA
Working in big and small collaborations, we see a strong need to combine the description of sequencing experimental designs and data to support the (re)usability of data and their sharing.
Next in our #WomenInScience thread, from PhD student @bhernanr:
"Professor Esperanza Martínez-Romero has pioneered the use of environmentally friendly bacteria to support plant growth, increased agricultural productivity and reduced use of chemical fertilizers."
