NYISO load zones A through H, combined, use less than 6 GW.
Just for data centers, there's 12 GW load requests in NYISO queue.
Yet lying shills like Mr Fake Cowboy, et al distract from latter to have you think NYS’s urgency for solar is some sort of sinister ploy by foreigners.
@americaunwon@caseymurph1 Trump DOI supports Big Solar; MAGA has numerous ties; Trump personally invested in world’s largest solar and wind operator.
Situations like Casey is facing shouldn't happen, and there's no doubt he means well, nevertheless he is a patsy who doesn't know what he's talking about.
@caseymurph1@alex_fasulo Are the Trump administration's multiple ties to NextEra Energy (including Trump's personal investments in this company) the reason you've never once mentioned their 1,425 acre High River Solar Center (operational since 2024), yet catastrophize solar sites a fraction of this size?
@caseymurph1@alex_fasulo The question remains:
Alex, why does "cavalry" divert attention away from the facts of many US companies developing multi-thousand acre solar sites (even when referencing their projects, ie Excelsior) yet seemingly shouts about "foreign entities" from every possible mountaintop?
Your son is 14. He wants to download a game his friends are playing.
The app asks for a face scan to verify his age. You are told it is to keep him safe. You hold the phone while he looks into the camera.
His face is now in a database. Tied to his name. Tied to every account he opens. For the rest of his life.
Years later, that profile decides what he can access. What he can say. What he can buy.
You did not protect him. You helped enroll him.
This is what online child safety laws are building. A digital ID for every person, starting with our children.
Share this with a parent who thinks age verification is harmless.
Follow me. Every day I show you what is coming and how to stop it.
@RPierceWriter Earlier this year the NY ratepayer-funded package extended the Zero Emissions Credit (ZEC) program to subsidize $33 billion for 4 existing nuclear reactors, and state planners' Policy Options noted an additional $15.4 to $23.9 billion to build new reactors.https://t.co/EGEk8lNZ0Z
@RPierceWriter The funny thing is, by being an advocate for Nuclear NY (https://t.co/yt2cjkX869), Alex is inadvertently helping Hochul with her plan to add 5 GWs of nuclear energy to NY (heavily funding through utility ratepayer surcharges and taxpayer-backed subsidies).

All who truly want to push back against the poorly-sited, huge solar plants being built throughout rural America should be loudest voices calling out the fake opposition and their lies.
Don’t allow ulterior-motived frauds to hijack grassroots with easily debunked fearmongering.
The Groton project referenced here, Yellow Barn Solar, is being built by CS Energy, an American company.
That doesn't fit "the cavalry's" narrative of "farmers in fight of their lives against foreign solar invasion," so Mr Fake Cowboy misleads his followers to believe otherwise.
@Drill_Baby_Drll It sure does look like he not only overlooks them on purpose, but was put in his position to divert the public's attention away from them (and others like them).
If this is the case, @Firefox, why don't you do more by default? Why don't you block most tracking content by default? Or block tracking query parameters? Or send the Global Privacy Control header?
If you really want to protect your users, you need to do more. Privacy by default is the way.
Governments keep telling us ID checks will make the internet safer. Here is what an ID check actually did for a woman in Pennsylvania.
Cash App demanded Social Security numbers to stop fraud. Hers leaked in a data breach, a scammer opened an account with it, and the police arrested her for his crime. She spent three nights in jail. Cash App now refuses to show her the account because she can’t prove it’s hers, which is exactly what she has been telling them.
Every ID check builds another vault of stolen identities waiting to happen. The more of them we’re forced through, the easier fraud gets, and the people paying for it are the ones who did everything they were told.
@brantonzhy If we actually want to push back we need strong arguments and truth.
It's the "cavalry" that has hidden agendas they won't admit, not me.
They're not push backing. They have weak arguments and go great legnths to spread easily debunked narratives that distract from real issues.
The list goes on and on…
And yet, Mr Fake Cowboy and "the cavalry" doesn't speak of any of these multi-thousand acre projects by American companies whilst seemingly going out of their way every chance they have to fearmonger about smaller sites developed by "foreign entities."
There are many reasons a broad cross-section of Americans oppose multi-thousand acre solar projects.
One needn't be opposed to renewable energy to acknowledge the threats.
Thus it's striking "the cavalry" speaks little of them yet non-stop dog whistles about "foreign entities."
The list of American companies building large solar projects goes on and on and on...
BHE Renewables:
Topaz Solar Farms (California, 4700 acres)
Solar Star (California, 3600 acres)
Ravenswood Microgrid (West Virginia, 2000 acres)
Clearway Energy:
Solar Nova (Texas, 5000 acres).
