@DatUncleOfYours People are not planning for what AI is going to do to the world and people still relying on fiat pensions to save them in 40 years is pure boomer copium.
@haniimhome You are actually 100% right and it's obvious. AI takes all jobs in next 5 years, either they give us UBI or we're cooked. Pensions aren't useful in either scenario.
@sound_investors@Bricknell__ AI moves at warp speed. The world is going to change long before their pension is accessible. Who knows what the age will be increased to by then. If AI extends lifespan maybe they'll get to access it when they're 150.
@sound_investors@Bricknell__ The logic is clear. If you want to invest in AI then do so but young people especially paying into a pension they will receive in a future that will have no resemblance to today economically is a dumb thing to do.
@CasanovaThePlug Yes exactly. AI is going to automate all jobs in the next decade but your savings are going to be useful in 40 years? If you're paying into a pension you simply haven't been paying attention to where we are headed.
@sound_investors@Bricknell__ Jobs are going away. AI will automate all jobs in the next 5 years. Either the government pays basic income or everyone is screwed regardless. In neither scenario is your pension accessible in 40 years time of any help whatsoever.
@PunchyMoney All the jobs are going to be wiped out by AI in the next 5 years and people are still paying into a pension to access saved cash in 50 years. What are they going to do for the prior 45 years.
@Bricknell__@VoidxQsr No I'm not. The economic system is fiat money. You cannot access private pensions whenever you want. Nothing I said was incorrect for either.
@Bricknell__@VoidxQsr It's not free money if you aren't able to access it. It's a future "promise" of free money from an economic system that's on its last legs.
@liamgallagher I thought you didn't do anything against the rules, so now you're admitting you did but you did it for everyone else and not for your own glory.
