@anothercohen Yeah I have the Costco version of this. I sit on a stool on top of the bench. It’s great. The steel roof is something I don’t have that’s a great upgrade.
New meal in rotation:
4 oz rice (more if running a lot of volume)
10 oz ground beef or turkey
3 tbsp non fat Greek yogurt for extra protein
1 tbsp buffalo sauce
~85g protein, 700 cal and is a BIG meal
@ORION_coaching@johngoldman To distill this down - you want to lose weight so you can run faster. You’re doing this with help of synthetic drugs. I agree this is akin to taking (synthetic) steroids to accelerate towards a muscle building goal.
Hot take: running a ultramarathon is easier than running an all out marathon.
Having run a 50 miler this year and 3:18 at CIM 2023, the mental gruel is higher for ultra but the preparation and execution of the marathon is way more demanding.
Each year for the past few years have had a highlight achievement or a Misogi moment
2023 - marathon: ran 4 marathons and PR’d 4 times 3:18
2024 - triathlon: completed first half Ironman and first full Ironman
2025 - ultramarathon: completed Marlette 50k and 50m Run Rabbit Run
