To God be the glory. That is all.
We’ve been blessed with a decisive victory by President Trump, a strong Senate majority, and a likely House majority. Let’s not waste it folks. God bless America! 🇺🇸
Dave Ramsey explains why the government stopped making you pay your taxes by hand, and what would happen if it started again.
RAMSEY: “If we brought this back, there would be a revolution. People would burn Washington, DC, down.
“If the tax person from the IRS had to stand in the lobby of your company, and you got paid in cash, and you had to take your cash and hand it to the tax collector and count it out every time you got paid, people would realize how big a tick on your butt the government is, how big a parasite the government is.
“And they would, I’m telling you, there’d be pitchforks and torches.
“If you actually saw and physically had to take possession of the money and then give it back in cash to the government when you got paid, people’s faces would melt off.”
KAMEL: “Just the amount of $100 bills you’re just giving to the IRS for doing nothing. That hurts. It would be a Tea Party round two.”
RAMSEY: “So it was a really brilliant idea to do income tax withholding.”
KAMEL: “Just make it all behind the scenes.”
RAMSEY: “Brilliant psychological trick.”
I was in the courtroom today (at the invitation of @MrsErikaKirk) when Judge Graf admitted evidence that Tyler Robinson confessed repeatedly to killing Charlie Kirk—to Lance Twigs and to his gaming friends.
Twigs and Robinson’s gaming friends were initially incredulous, but Robinson continued to insist that he did it, insisting “it was me.”
Robinson provided more detail to Twigs, admitting that the murder was premeditated and motivated by hate.
The prosecution team did a fantastic job, and Judge Graf reached the right conclusion.
In fairness to Cocaine Mitch, if he had a choice, I don’t think he’d go out any differently.
Having his vegetative corpse used to prevent a special election is the most Mitch McConnell thing of all time.
Not only is this statement a complete lie, but E. Jean Carroll was such an uncredible witness that even though President Trump was forced into a kangaroo court in her civil trial, the jury explicitly found him not liable for rape.
250 years ago, the states united and declared a simple truth: our rights come from God, not government.
That idea built the greatest nation on earth.
Today we celebrate the states, the Founders, and the duty to defend what they gave us.
Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸
250 years ago our founding fathers signed their death warrant, declaring these United States to be independent of the British Crown. For the first time in human history, a government was instituted among men with one clear understanding: our rights come from God, not the government, and the government has no authority to take them away. If the government infringes on our rights, it is incumbent upon the people to remove their government and constitute a new one.
This nation is the greatest experiment in human history. It’s not perfect, but it’s what we, as citizens, choose for it to be. A government for the people and by the people.
We are blessed to live in the greatest nation to ever exist. We are the last bastion of freedom in the world. Let’s do another 250 years, America! God is good!
WEST VIRGINIA FREEDOM CAUCUS: THIS INDEPENDENCE DAY, RETURN THE PEOPLE'S MONEY — $370 MILLION SURPLUS PROVES WEST VIRGINIANS ARE OVERTAXED
Charleston, WV – As Americans celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation's fight for liberty this Independence Day, members of the West Virginia Freedom Caucus are calling on state leaders to honor that legacy by returning money to the people who earned it.
Following the announcement that West Virginia ended the fiscal year with a $370 million revenue surplus, the Freedom Caucus said the excess is not a reason for government to celebrate―it is proof that hardworking West Virginians are paying more in taxes than necessary.
"Two hundred and fifty years ago, Americans fought a revolution against a government that believed it had the first claim on the people's earnings. This Independence Day should remind us that government exists to serve the people—not to grow government by taking more than it needs," said West Virginia Freedom Caucus Chairman S. Chris Anders.
"A $370 million surplus is proof positive that West Virginians are overtaxed. That money belongs to the families who earned it, not politicians looking for new ways to spend it,” Delegate Anders added.
The Morrisey administration reported the state collected approximately $5.693 billion during the fiscal year―$370 million above projections. June revenues alone exceeded estimates by more than $57 million, or 11.1 percent.
"This isn't a windfall to celebrate. It's evidence that government is taking too much from families already struggling with inflation, high grocery bills, and rising energy costs," said Freedom Caucus Secretary Henry Dillon.
The administration also reported that Personal Income Tax collections―the state's largest General Revenue Fund source―finished $159 million above projections for the fiscal year.
"When families are forced to stretch every paycheck while government piles up hundreds of millions in surplus, something is fundamentally wrong. West Virginians deserve to keep more of what they earn," said Delegate Laura Kimble.
The Freedom Caucus renewed its call for immediate tax relief, beginning with a 90-day suspension of the state fuel tax, while pursuing permanent reductions in the overall tax burden.
"The Freedom Caucus has urged action since February," said Senator Chris Rose.
"Today's numbers confirm what we've been saying all along—the state is collecting far more than it needs from the people of West Virginia. The right response isn't more government spending. It's giving that money back," Senator Rose emphasized.
"The first step should be an immediate 90-day suspension of the fuel tax, followed by permanent tax relief for West Virginia families," Senator Craig Hart said
The Freedom Caucus called on Governor Morrisey to use the state's strong financial position to provide broad-based tax relief rather than allowing government to continue growing at taxpayers' expense.
This Independence Day, the best way to honor the principles of 1776 is simple: let West Virginians keep more of the fruits of their own labor.
