@patchdj @UChicago @UofOklahoma I got a Master's in philosophy and that was enough for me to recognize that a life in academia was a pretty much the worst way to have an impact on the world.

(Teaching can be rewarding and impactful, of course, but if that was my path it's a hell of a lot easier to go to HS.)

It's wild people keep focusing on it when there are actual, real harms of data centers (like air pollution, which is really bad!)
