A smorgasbord of stories about local grassroots community environmental activism to inform, inspire and motivate you to join in or even start your own project.
According to X, formally Twitter, formally talking to your mates in the pub or your family around the table, we have 1,568 followers. With people leaving the platform in their droves, I just wondered how many of you are still out there.
I would like to reassure you all, in this year 2025 and 24 hours into the new Trump administration, that we are still committed to continue to convince our communities, whether virtual or real-world, that Climate Change, the inconvenient truth, is with us and is not going away. I encourage you all to do the same.

Let it sink in that we live in a time when people feel they need to attend a protest with a placard reading 'Science is Actually Useful'. Caught me off guard that one for a moment.
Heat pumps are 'political' now? What nonsense. Culture war cobblers. I love my heat pump. My heat pump is only 'political' if you'd rather have sold me a gas boiler. Which I wouldn't have wanted anyway just for the record. https://t.co/HWJFXKsv3q
Happy St George's Day.
A reminder that half of England is owned by less than 1% of the population. Some of these aristocratic landowners have inherited land since the Norman Conquest.
England needs land reform and a strong Community Right to Buy!

#EarthDay ?
Thanksโฆ
But no thanks.
When every day is Earth Day as it is around here get back to me.
Loving this #planet is a full time commitment not a one day gig.
#nature#ecocide
One of my happiest places on Earth.
Twenty years ago, a nature-depleted fieldโ
now a haven for wildflowers, birds, butterfliesโฆ the gentle, humming miracle of life.
Restoration takes time, care, and a quiet apprenticeship to wild wisdom.
Happy Earth Day!

Every elephant we rescue, every orphan we raise, and every wild life we safeguard depends on one thing: a habitat to call home.
This Earth Day, weโre celebrating the wild spaces that sustain Kenyaโs wildlife โ from the open plains of Tsavo to the lush forests of Kibwezi and the Mau. These ecosystems are vital not just for elephants, rhinos, and giraffes, but for biodiversity, climate stability, and local communities.
Through habitat protection, anti-poaching patrols, water boreholes, reforestation, and community outreach, weโre protecting these landscapes from mounting threats. But we donโt do this alone โ your support is what makes this work possible.
By standing with us, you help protect the earth that gives life to so many.

๐ฆ ๐ฆ A supporter has been in touch havinv witnessed a very definite RED KITE flying over Peggs/Hurts Hall, Benhall/Saxmundham area.
Sadly they were driving at the time so unable to get a photo but this shows they are nearby, so please keep your eyes peeled and try to get a photo if you spot them.
Red Kites were once on the brink of extinction from the UK.
It would be good to make a note of all rare and unusual wildlife in the area that could be potentially be displaced by these projects. ๐ฆ ๐ฆ

@SEAScampaign We travel from Southend to Uttlesford 3 times a week and see several pairs each day. You can see them from the windows of Saffron Walden Hospital. Truly amazing birds.
๐กCommunity energy is the future! ๐
A recent poll shows 62% of people back community-owned renewable projects in their area, compared to 40% for private ones ๐
People want an energy transition that works for everyone & we can make that happen๐
