@bookingcom As I said in the post, the scammers never confirmed the booking, so I never got a confirmation number. The listing has now been taken down, thanks to some people tagging in your head of supplier fraud when I complained about it on LinkedIn!

Just narrowly avoided a scam on @bookingcom . The apartment asked me via WhatsApp to send money to an account before they would confirm my reservation. And @bookingcom support only picks up the phone if you can supply a confirmation number, so I can't report them. Sigh...
