@forgebitz Imagine the catastrophic impact on their brand when something goes horribly wrong - and it will. I’m enthusiastic about what clawdbot represents, and I’m certain it will create terrific innovation around such solutions. But the risk is WAY too high for the big guys.

Why is this still being argued? I think every single person who pays any attention to the game knows the receiver must catch the ball and (unless they already controlled it and made a “football move”) maintain control upon contacting the ground. I don’t know why we need a plan mode in codex with 5.2. I simply ask it to do that - design and plan. And then I iterate/collaborate on that until I’m good. I give approval to proceed and it does. If I want the design and plan in a file so it can be referenced later (by me or any agent session), I just ask it to write to a file.

What am I overlooking? Why do we need a specific plan mode? Feels like that goes against “just talk to it”.

@LukeEpplin @mattyglesias LA required intervention because riots were beginning to spin out of control and threatening national instability. DC requires intervention both because it is our national capital and because it is constitutionally under federal jurisdiction.

@mattyglesias Some of the current problems: misallocated resources leave gaps, manipulated stats hide the damage, and leniency lets crimes fester due to pull back of police action.

Seems to make sense that these can be addressed by new leadership with new approach and new accountability.

I share your concern for those left behind. Let’s improve the system. But we can’t ignore a key part of the equation: personal responsibility.

For years, cultural narratives have been amplified to shift focus away from hard work and accountability, promoting a victim mindset instead. That mindset tells people they can’t succeed unless the system changes. And it strives to lower the waterline for everyone.

Yes, we should improve the system. But we also need to revive a culture that believes in personal agency, ambition, and resilience.

Without that, no system will ever truly work. It’s required if we want to raise the foundation for everyone.
