Based on the no. of fire-counts till Nov 20th, there’s been a reduction of ~50% in East Punjab (#India) and ~60% in West Punjab (#Pakistan), compared with 2016-2020 average of Kharif season.

Many well-meaning colleagues keep on harbouring about Farmers being resistant to behavioural change. That’s simply not true, and the statistics now reflect that.

However, the no. of Vehicles in cities, particularly two-wheelers & larger more polluting vehicles owned by Govt and Private citizens have increased by ~70% from 2016 to 2023.

This is why there’s virtually no improvement in #AirQuality on both sides of the border. It’s urban upper class paranoia that is driving Govt policy and media to remain fixated on farmers, rather than implementing vehicle restrictions & pollution taxes.

خوکش جھیل ایک غیر دریافت جھیل ہے جو ابھی تک دنیا والوں کے نظروں سے دور ہے یہ جھیل گلگت بلتستان کے علاقہ ضلع غذر کی وادی شندور کی تحصیل گوپس میں واقع ہے۔ خوکش جھیل تازہ پانی کا ایک اہم ذریعہ ہے جس میں ٹراؤٹ بھرا ہوا ہے۔یہ جھیل (بہا جھیل) ایک خوبصورت آسمانی نیلی اور سرد جھیل ہے جو گلگت بلتستان میں واقع ہے اور خطے کی سب سے لمبی جھیل ہے۔ اس کی لمبائی 5 کلومیٹر اور چوڑائی 750 میٹر ہے۔ یہاں ماہی گیری ایک مقبول سرگرمی ہے، کیونکہ جھیل بہت سی ٹراؤٹ مچھلیوں کا گھر ہے۔
