I used to think this way, when I was young, before I had kids, and was most concerned with maximizing dollars. It’s impossible to quantify the eternal value of surrounding my children, and wife, with shared values while at the same time largely avoiding much of the nonsense that plagues public education throughout this country
Hot take: The money you save by NOT sending your kids to private school will benefit them more as a lump sum in the future than the private school education would have.
