@izzyAr23 I believe an important part of Afrofuturism is in a way similar to plots and adventure of sci-fi; however, it digs deeper. In the plots, it incorporates culture and political messages. #fys03xu

Pumzi seemed like a good, exciting movie. It reminds me of movies such as divergent and some other, but I think it highlights the important of Afrofuturism in it. #fys03xu

Her words of "what if" in the TED talk really stuck out to me. I think she uses those words to create amazing stories and cultural lessons for all of us. Those words provide so many possibilities. #fys03xu

Although this seems like a weird quote to choose, it is the perfect example of the Ted Talk on understanding someone's full story. I am curious to see if she has an underlying message to her lessons and experiences in the work. #fys03xu

Afrofuturism plays a large role in working to improve the diversity representation in the United States. These works will play a great role in the social issue at hand as literature is a powerful way to connect with others. #fys03xu
