The thing about democratic decline is people imagine it announces itself with one defining event. But its usually a series of escalations until one day you look around and realize you've become accustomed to things you would once have thought impossible.
VIDEO: "I was a little saddened that the Uganda Law Society was not officially represented at the sitting in the morning, and of course I know the Law society and the @JudiciaryUG apparently are having a tiff."
Hon. Justice Frederick Martin Stephen Egonda-Ntende expressed dismay over Judiciary's failure to invite us to their special sitting in honour of his outstanding service as a national and international judicial officer, as his retirement looms large.
On August 16, 2025, we honoured Justice Egonda-Ntende with the #LifetimeAchievementAward 🏅as we concluded our #TechFest at Commonwealth Resort, Munyonyo.

Happy International Women’s Day.
This year’s theme, #GiveToGain, is a beautiful reminder that when we give women support, encouragement, and opportunity, everyone benefits.
Today, we celebrate the resilience, leadership, and contributions of women in our workplaces, our communities, and our families. We also reaffirm the importance of creating spaces where women can thrive, lead, and be heard.
When women are empowered, progress is shared by all.

Please join us in congratulating Pius Kitamirike @Piusedwin11 on graduating from @MakerereLaw with a Master of Laws (LL.M.)
His master’s thesis examined the role of labour unions in safeguarding employment rights, with a case study on the Uganda National Teachers’ Union.
His research shows that while Uganda has a strong labour law framework through constitutional guarantees, statutory protections, and international conventions, enforcement remains weak. By exposing the gap between law and practice, his work highlights urgent reforms policymakers must addres.
Well done Pius!
