Thank you @PabstBlueRibbon@AttackPeter for providing the perfect inspiration and materials for my transformation of the Godzilla 99 pack into Mecha-can-zilla for #gfest 2026!
@astoundconnects@astoundconnects my Internet is out, again. I called in like you asked the other day instead of complaining on Twitter, they informed me there are no reported outages but they could send a technician...on Tuesday. Again, happens right before the socials team clocks out.
@astoundconnects 40m wait to talk to an agent in Chicago, no place for outage announcements or outage reports on your site or app or automated system. Chat support couldn't even load. Seriously considering going back to Comcast which if you know me is saying a lot.
@slac Allow us to add to this as well @Slac. We have two wired lines to our booth, both performing at Gigabit level and included as part of the turnkey package. Contrast that to $31,500 for 20Mbps for three days at @enterprisecon
That's a wrap on #GoogleNext19! Thank you all for the positive feedback on networking and WiFi. It was no small task and we owe a huge thanks to our amazing partners @F1ConsultancyUS (Moscone Campus) and @brownpelwifi (Ancillary Campus)!
@PexipInc @slac@enterprisecon Shows like #ec19 and #InfoComm should really stop nickel and diming their exhibitors for services that ought to come with the booth space. These include:
- dedicated, fast and reliable wired internet
- power
- drayage - this is the most ridiculous of them all
All the conference organizers in the world should attend #GoogleNext19 to learn what it is like to have working, fast wifi for 30000+ participants.
Enterprise Connect, I am looking at you!
Can we take a second to appreciate the WiFi at #GoogleNext19?! I heard it's more than 25.000 people and it's still up & running, and pretty damn fast!
@J_Br0 I've confirmed there is WiFi in Rose room. Is your device 5 Ghz capable? To ensure the best performance possible we are not providing WiFi on the 2.4 Ghz band as it does not function well in high density environments.
@J_Br0 Hi Jessica, what session or room were you in? There definitely should have been WiFi available in all sessions and we'd like to look into this. -NEXT IT team
