I am grateful for the generous and timely support to @ICRC for its emergency #health assistance in #Sudan from @gatesfoundation. Together, we will provide the vital aid to those affected by the armed conflict, save lives and alleviate suffering. #HumanitarianAid#SudanCrisis.
We @ICRC celebrate our 160th anniversary today.
The world has changed immeasurably since 1863, but our mission and mandate are more important than ever. Proud to be 160 years on the side of #humanity. https://t.co/XuElKbfNwh
Thank you @KeringGroup for your generous support, which will help us @ICRC to step up our lifesaving activities particularly in #Syria, where the earthquakes compounded the suffering of people already affected by 12 years of conflict.
As @ICRC president & chief diplomat, @PMaurerICRC led our organization through 10 tumultuous years of humanitarian crises. It has been a pleasure & a privilege to work with him. As we welcome incoming @ICRCPresident Mirjana Spoljaric, we thank Peter & wish him all the very best.
1. Today I step down as @ICRC President, feeling honored to have led this organization through a decade of humanitarian service and diplomacy.
From Afghanistan, the Sahel, Syria, Ukraine, Yemen and beyond, I'm proud that ICRC could bring humanity and hope to people most in need.
Delighted & grateful to seal a new partnership with @cmacgm Foundation today. The ‘Containers of Hope’ will enable @ICRC to ship 500 containers of humanitarian aid to people affected by conflict around the 🌍. We look forward to finding more ways to reach those in need, together.
Neutrality allows for breakthrough humanitarian work. But how?
We know it's not always obvious or easy to understand. So we asked @RMardiniICRC to explain.

It is heartbreaking and horrific to see innocent people suffering. My thoughts and prayers are with the Ukrainian people. Please, if you can, donate to help them @ICRC https://t.co/GGjpndCPiM
#Ukraine is in crisis! 🇺🇦

Thank you to our long-standing partners - Liechtenstein 🇱🇮 and Switzerland🇨🇭 - for helping to make change possible.
A thriving digital future means we have to focus on equity in our present. I'm hopeful starting 2022 with a commitment from @PJMFnd of $10M to drive equity by bridging digital divides & supporting vulnerable communities impacted by the pandemic. https://t.co/OHKaDv1vTR
Throughout the pandemic, digital connectivity and skills have proven essential for inclusive economic participation. Yet many vulnerable communities face significant challenges in digital access and literacy. https://t.co/pf7rTjco8t
