The goal of H-Data training is to equip Ugandan scientists and healthcare practitioners with health data science practical skills to advance the use of data to prevent, treat, and ultimately cure HIV/AIDS in Uganda.
Makerere University School of Public Health, in partnership with the Karolinska Institute in Sweden and Tree Adoption Uganda, and with funding from the Wellcome Trust, has launched the WIN-WIN project (Win-Win in the Wetlands for Climate). The project aims to assess the climate, health, social, and economic impacts of wetland restoration in urban Uganda and to develop and evaluate evidence-based conservation interventions, with a focus on how wetlands affect the health of surrounding communities, including diseases such as bilharzia and malaria.
