@traderdandurban@last_fund Share price is a reflection of confidence around execution. It won’t go up until copper cash flows print. This is no small deal for them - this is selling the farm. It’s a better deal than initially promoted. Let’s see what London thinks
@traderdandurban@last_fund Yes they are. This is a clean-slate deal; all assets, all debt. Trade financing was a major issue for them - especially in the down cycle as you effectively gear up your inventory. Current EV R2.6bn - this deal (EV level) is R2.6bn. You’re getting a free carry on copper.
@SAValueInvestor Seems to be trading inversely to the DXY (FX has been a drag on earnings). Also recent earnings were a a big beat so market priced in expected upgrades to consensus
@JuniorBuffett@CapOnePartners There’s a large shareholder that’s been a forced seller (closing down funds). Check share register changes. Recent volume will confirm the turn-over that’s been taking place. New holders are in.
@last_fund Importantly Maputo is looking to reduce its reliance on chrome (currently +50% of volume) and diversify its commodity basket through the port. Unlikely to see any additional chrome capacity coming online there anytime soon.
