this time of year can be hard for many people. the air is colder, the sky is darker. i pray you find time to rest but also to rejuvenate your mind. when possible, push yourself past your limits — work to change your thoughts, exercise, stretch and prioritize your sleep.
Alam niyo ba na October is ADHD Awareness Month?
Of course, dahil may ADHD ako, nakalimutan ko. 😅
Did you know that ADHD is not just a mental disorder? As all things in the real world, it's more complicated than that.

Nervous system regulation is contagious.
The people in our lives are always co-regulating with us.
As a parent when you are calm it cultivates calmness in your child.
The same for other relationships coworkers, romantic partners etc.
Self-regulate and pass it on!
In high cortisol homes, we have no choice but to please everyone. There’s no room to develop a sense of self. The control and stress is so intense disconnecting from our own bodies is the natural response.
I’m sensitive. I feel everything and I feel it hard. Took me a long time to recognise the strength in that. The world wants you to be hard and uncaring. I’m glad I care, I’m proud of my softness.
So many people saw their parents in dysfunctional marriages. Not getting their needs met, living as distant strangers. It makes sense that younger generations want actual partnership.
They don’t want marriage to mean accepting emotional breadcrumbs.
Pilipinas, if we can pressure a basketball coach enough to make him resign, surely we can demand for more circumspection for how our taxes are being allocated and spent.
And when you pray tonight…pray for the wisdom to know how to love. Love is beautiful but it can get really tricky if you don’t know how to go about it. There are people you need to love in house, then there are those who are meant to be loved from a distance. Never mix the two.
I applaud people who try again. We never really talk about the strength required to get back up again. People are just expected to bounce back. If you see someone struggling to try again, give them a hand. They really need it.
Personally, I love routines as much as the next girlie, but I don’t stay on the same routine for very long. I stopped putting that pressure on myself to have the same routine going because that just doesn’t work for me. It honestly sounds like hell. What works better is having a variety of different routines that I can pull from depending on what I need.
Example: Maybe I’ve been feeling way more tired, low energy, or drained. So I put myself on a routine that is more gentle and charging.
But then maybe a month later I start waking up with a lot of energy and excitement. So I put myself on a routine that’s more grounding and helps me slow down a bit.
Or maybe I’m in a really busy season of my life, so no routine is the move. It’s time to just wake up, hydrate, and go. And that’s okay too.
It's okay to wax and wane. I had this limiting belief that "consistency" meant formulating this perfect routine that I can just stay on forever (my virgo placements are shaking lol). But I realized that consistency for me is just staying mindful of how I’m priming myself for the day. It just means trying my best to formulate a morning ritual that I believe will help me perform in the most optimal way.
Sensitivity is a good thing.
Having intense emotions is human. Sobbing for no reason means you’re alive. Down days are natural.
Irrational thoughts happen.
Suffering is an unavoidable.
We’re are not machines.
Sensitivity is a gift. To still be able to feel is something to be celebrated. Being sentimental is a gift. To be moved over things most people don’t even notice, is a rare trait.
if you’re a sensitive person and feel things deeply, it’s really important to be around people who take that into account whenever they need to communicate certain things to you. caring for your nervous system means letting people know how to handle your emotions with care

Nung tumawid din ako minsan sa isang street sa Paris, na-weirduhan yung kasama kong French bakit ako nagmamadali. Sabi ko na lang it’s a Filipino habit, para bang sagabal kasi ang feeling namin kapag may mga sasakyan kami na nahaharang. Alam nyo kung anong sabi nya?
