@MartinCSULB I am the same way. I’m hoping it won’t effect my feed but the same with instagram and twitter suggests things, it’ll just be another thing I’ll need to swipe past
@desi_lopez22 ugh I love football and my Dallas Cowboys but if they make a mistake I can’t ignore it. Same for Rogers and the same for Kyrie on the NBA
@Logan14997754@Digiday Completely agree! It’s great we’re doing this but it’s a little too late. Especially with the misinformation about covid 19 :/ could’ve stopped a lot of arguments that didn’t need to happen
@stephjour_ I like the schools idea to keep monitor their child’s progress but if parents have that control, can we really trust them to input correct data or whatever makes their child look the best?
It is a necessity that these things are being talked about. With social media, we are learning more than probably would ever before and we need to have these conversations https://t.co/LMcBr1TpDg
@iamfrankielerma I feel like all social media has a stigma to it that no platform can avoid. Although Facebook is the one they want to highlight, they are just as bad.
@desi_lopez22 HAHAHA I feel awful because I am the type of person who looks at ratios like that. It’s bad it’s a thing but I don’t even know if I can stop looking at it like that.
@NettCarril That’s exactly what I think about when I hear the name Onlyfans. I know there are other platforms that have the same concept but will it get taken over by the porn industry if Onlyfans stopped.
I’m never surprised to see a tweet from either Kanye West or Donald Trump. But now that Trump doesn’t have a Twitter account, Elon Musk has replaced him :/ https://t.co/Of3oVP2S9i
@irissbus I dont think it will actually launch and I don’t want it to! I think this will definitely be taken over by trolls and people who are able to hack the system. Even through reddit threads I think people will band together to show how much of a joke this is.
@iamfrankielerma@voxdotcom Omg I just did this one! I’m glad you did too and see that we feel the same about his new venture. This should not be the center of a conversation and it is distracting to what’s really important!
@MartinCSULB Oof considering all of the things this man has done while on Twitter, I can’t imagine what he’d do on his personal platform. I hope this is just as regulated as other platforms.
@Logan14997754@Digiday I should’ve majored in computer science or something 🙄 but honestly it’s worrisome that this company may hire people just to fill positions rather than actually being qualified.
Facebook? Y’all get ready, Zuckerberg is planning on changing the name literally next week! Although they are attempting to rebrand, I don’t think anyone will forget the “old” Facebook. https://t.co/5QXxBraCe8
@MartinCSULB I didn’t know this but i’m going to assume the same about Instagram. Since Facebook owns Instagram, who’s to say that platform isn’t doing the same? It’s really disappointing to read this.
@iamfrankielerma@Logan14997754 I agree so much with @iamfrankielerma Journalism requires a certain procedure and process before it’s submitted to the public while social media is whatever whenever.
@stephjour_ I’m glad i’m seeing something about the spread of misinformation! It’s great to see the government step in and create special procedures that push for truthful information regarding our health!!
Remember Twitter fleets? They came and left just as fast. Twitter recently tried another feature that prepares you for the nature of a conversation. It’s intention was to reduce the amount of heated conversations but the experiment was short lived. https://t.co/WrfV1SzR6L
