I'm #hiring! Interested in working on a new approach to drug discovery aimed at restoring cellular health and reversing disease? I'm looking for an awesome Scientist / Senior Scientist in Statistical Genetics to join my group at Altos Labs.

Great collaborative study showing that Autoantibodies neutralizing type I IFNs underlie West Nile virus encephalitis in ∼40% of patients https://t.co/wDWWh4Mxs3
A 🧵 on some of my intuitions/priors about the genetics of complex and molecular traits in humans (i.e. what I think of as typical), largely motivated by GWAS/QTL studies over the past decade [citing papers with nice figures where possible]
Are you interested in the tumor microenvironment and would like to join a collaborative group of scientists? Together w the @TurleyLabGNE we are looking for a postdoc with passion for cancer immunology and quantitative data science. We'd ♥️ to meet you 👇https://t.co/lCQ7Zr22NS
Winter has arrived, but we're already looking for two #interns to spend 3 months in our group @genentech next summer. Please reach out if you're interested in reverse translational research at the interface of Cancer Immunology and human #genetics. https://t.co/dnZ38CX3jK
@iskander@AmirHorowitz@pirl_unc@UNCBBSP Thanks Amir, and great to meet you, Alex. We're about to announce summer intern positions for 2023. 100% research projects, but in an industry framework. I'll follow up with you separately, and we can chat.
My first venture into the genetics of immunogenicity, finding an association of HLA variation with the risk of developing anti-drug antibodies against atezolizumab, an antibody used in Cancer Immunotherapy. https://t.co/nWh9as3nGR
I'm hiring an #intern in data science / #genetics (summer, 3 months) @genentech for the development of a R Shiny app to visualize and compare immunogenetics association results. Please get in touch if you're interested. https://t.co/h85udQbp4T
To me, a major problem is the viewpoint that there is/should be a one-way flow from academia -> industry. Academia should recruit industry scientists at all levels and vice versa. Half of our lab has sig industry experience and it has transformed the way we approach questions.
@EricTopol@ScienceMagazine Fascinating. A couple of years ago we (and others) found the major MS HLA risk allele DRB1*15:01 to be associated with increased IgG levels against EBNA-1, which is now at the center of the molecular mimicry hypothesis. https://t.co/wYPcdPMorc
Happy to announce opening of the #BuechlerLab in the fab Dept. of Immunology at @UofT.

Always keen to chat with potential postdocs, graduate students, collaborators or anyone interested in fibroblasts and macrophages. Please RT!
