Several presentations on supershoes at last week's #ACSM23 conference.
One highlight: superspikes boost running economy by 2% compared to old spikes. With a bunch of assumptions, that implies an old 4:00 mile would now be 3:56.8.

@MollyHuddle When I first moved to altitude I bought a refurbished Woodway that was adjusted by woodway to go to 15mph. It was significantly cheaper and has lasted for 17 years! Yes it doesn’t go 15mph much anymore but it can!

Per a new predict-your-marathon-time study, it doesn't matter. In recreational runners, total mileage was by far the best predictor, regardless of how you divvy up the runs.
