Dogger Bank blade failure in May was due to a design flaw, and the Vineyard Wind blade failure was the result of a manufacturing defect and a quality control error.

The experts say the offshore wind turbine blade failures are just a "bump in the road." They said the same thing about Three Mile Island. Blade failures can pollute oceans and ruin beaches. This issue must be confronted.

Long Beach Island (LBI) NJ beaches are a pristine treasure. We must defend our shores from the threat @GovMurphy of ##OSW industrialization. This gem must be preserved for our children & grandchildren, not sacrificed for #BigWind #BigMoney. Let's protect what truly matters! https://t.co/IF8K8jxphj Repost. Follow us on X.

@robertwrand@mtkblb Thank you for posting these links.
I did a Substack post on this, but I'm just getting up to speed on this issue.

Do you know if blade failure is more of a problem for floating platforms as planned off California coast?
@Michael55095064 @VineyardWindUS Thanks for your coverage of this problem. I used one of your stories in my Substack post on blade failure.

@ACKCurrent Thank you for doing such good stories on this problem.
I used one of them in my Substack post on what this means for offshore wind:

We are cutting multi-billion dollar checks to Ukraine every single week as they fight a war that they cannot win. Most of it will end up in the the pockets of defense contractors and corrupt politicians, while ordinary Ukrainians watch their country become a war torn wasteland.
In a better world devoted to honesty & facts, reporting about the climate bill’s provisions expanding fossil fuel development would at least mention the International Energy Agency’s recent warning that such development must stop. https://t.co/6ynBnQeMPO
The new climate bill spends less than 5% of what we spend on the military on an annualized basis and includes major concessions to the fossil fuel industry. Think how fast we could halt the irreversible damage we're doing to Earth if we actually really tried.
The Inflation Reduction Act won’t actually reduce inflation based on a recent study by the prestigious Wharton School of Economics
Yet it passed anyway
@davidsirota This is very frustrating. We’re all fighting to get the most important climate action in American history over the finish line. And you’re undermining that based on obviously false claims. If you really care about climate, now’s the time to help, not to be needlessly contrarian.
@davidsirota@AbbieDillen Chart seems to say the bill aims to double U.S. natural-gas exports to Europe in 8 years, eliminating their need for Russian gas - that's a longtime natsec goal, not a climate goal.
Wow: YouTube removing Victoria Nuland-Geoffrey Pyatt call showing U.S. involvement in the Maidan coup - the “Yats is our guy” tape. This is how the alleged fight against “misinformation” will be used to cover up damaging truths. From @Consortiumnews: https://t.co/ZcgUXIVpqG
In the southeast, it looks like there's been maybe three high voltage transmission lines completed in the past five years. Three. via @USCleanPower#energytwitter
“One of the evils of policy that I'm working to change is the grid pays the same price for reliable electricity as unreliable electricity. So that's like you pay the same for a car that works a third of the time. That's just a totally different service, right?”
#2 Veganism isn't better for the environment
According to a full lifecycle analysis, animal based ag produces 4% of greenhouse gasses, whereas plant based produces 5%.
One produces the most nutrient dense foods on earth. The other yields inflammatory, nutrient devoid junk.
