Last week someone at @kotlinconf showed what happens when you ask an AI to write code without giving it any context. The model answered confidently but obviously in the wrong direction.

That's the ceiling on AI quality we see for most teams. The model is the least interesting variable.

What makes the output excellent is the harness around the call. The retrieval layer that pulls the right files, and the state layer that knows what got tried last week.

Building that harness is most of what we work on for AI products.

A token surfaced in one of our trading-signal feeds this week with a peak gain near 300,000%. Before anything else, someone had to decide whether that number was real or garbage.

It was garbage. A thin pool and a decimal mismatch produced a price that read like a 3,000x and meant nothing.

The bulk of the work in a real-time signal product is throwing out lies like that. We reset the same feed again after another fix for extreme price prints off EVM chains, because the ways raw onchain data lies keep changing.

Ship one 300,000% phantom to a user as a "buy signal" and you have taught them to ignore the next real one.

.@prophetmarketai launched an AI-driven prediction market this week with a $10K seed tranche.

Its own market is pricing 100% YES that the FDV crosses $100M one day after launch, up from 82% seven days ago.

The AI agents inside the platform are doing most of the price discovery on that question, which is roughly the point.

AI agents trading prediction markets is the cleanest "AI x crypto" surface we've seen so far.

Autonomous capital settling onchain against real-world oracles, and no human signs the trade.

The fight to watch is whether AI agents become the marginal trader in prediction markets.

Prophet's $10K tranche is a small wager on whether that happens within the year.
