Surprised that even after 2 years of rigorous followup,NMMC is not willing to complete fencing of mangroves in sector 20,Airoli.Thousands of kgs of debris and waste material are dumped here which is,Ramsar site and Flemingo reserved forest.

We will be completing one year of follow-up with NMMC and other authorities for fencing of the mangroves at sect 20 Airoli.Tonnes of debris are being thrown in creek.endangering marine life of Thane -Vashi creek

Anti social elements are killing the mangroves and creating artificial water bodies in Airoli mangroves.
Mangrove cell is ignorant of these activities.
