@ShaziGoalie Com-on, its a 10% lose after buying at peak. Even the best stock can go down 10% in a week. If a asset only sees a 10% drop from peak after the bubble burst, its actually really blue-chip.

@ronmortgageguy Exactly, lets simplify the freaking tax and stop using tax as behaviour changing mechanism cause it does work for the general public. carbon tax did not reduce carbon, development charge did not produce development, gas tax did not reduce driving.

@danielfoch Less taxes is good because our gov is so careless is spending money, 1 billion for this crap and another b for that crap. None produce any long term econ productivity gain. Worse is that this cut is only temporary and gov will just layer on debt instead of getting a diet.

@ronmortgageguy Some of the blame for a large CRA has to go to our law makers who constantly ticker with our tax law. There were GST holiday/credit, carbon tax flip flop, EV tax rebate on/off, capital gain tax proposal. Does any of these tinkering work other than bloat the CRA?

@ruima You just have to live your values and really considers your kids pov before a decision. But you also have to be living by a set of values (frugality, generosity, work ethic) that pays off in the long run even if it does not agree with the village.

@EricDLombardi At the same time, the parties placated to the old voters with strict zoning laws and more spending for seniors. The 2 side actually voted for governments that didn't serve either side very well.

@EricDLombardi The young did not vote for this. They voted for optimism and inclusiveness. But this got gaslit into over-immigration and mel-investment/fraud in green transition. This is more of a switchroo by the federal lib and prov gov parties. The voters just didn't wake up in time.

@danielfoch @MikePMoffatt I wish its so blatant and direct which makes it fixable. Our politicians (and public) believes spending money will get what you want like shopping at a supermarket. So if you want a subway its 2 billion a KM. But it actually takes more than money to get a good subway

@MikePMoffatt Our politicians are too afraid to have clear priorities which may offend the disadvantaged group and we as voters do not have clear priority either. We can't have fast transit, zero pedestrian death, many stops, low construction cost, low ticket price, high TTC wages.

@MikePMoffatt We really should realize that councillors based on local election has fundamental issues where minority interest capture is endemic. This should have been balanced out by overruling power of the province but we elected poorly there too. In the end we deserve what we chose .

@EricDLombardi Our lack of real investment into improve productivity (instead of for show) plus high taxes and red tape in the face of monetary rate cut as the cure results only in asset inflation. This kills our young and makes this country more unfair. Our current path is not the answer.
