Before we talk about the new release, I want to take moment to think about v1 (the market layer), if you allow me.

Since 2023, Kamino has been the backbone of credit on Solana, issuing billions in debt at the time it needed it the most - on it's rebirth during Breakpoint 2023, then further on during its many growth spurts of 2024 and on the volatile swings of 2025, throughout congestion and downtime.

Without a single incident, and that is no coincidence: Kamino has spend simply countless of human and machine hours on removing risk at every layer of the stack: oracles, liquidators, code correctness, auditing, formal verification, programmatic, fuzzing, property based testing and stress testing, risk monitoring, open sourcing, time locking. The list can just go on and on. A lot is on the surface, but even more is below.

Our track record speaks for us.

There is simply no team in Solana that obsesses about reducing risk this much. We built a culture of safety, bordering on paranoia.

And yet, we are not paralysed by the on chain adversity but rather invigorated by the importance of what we are building.

Thankfully, there is a huge benefit to this mental, engineering and emotional cost - through its resilience Kamino has proven that Solana is a place not only for memes but for serious and sophisticated DeFi, for institutions, for funds, high net worth individuals and regular users, for native and real world credit to grow on chain.

There is nothing we'd rather do more than ensure DeFi and credit on Solana is done the right way.

The future is path dependent and we are personally on the mission to ensure it gets done right.
