Last week, I led the @FCC delegation at the @ITU Global Symposium for Regulators in Ankara, Türkiye. We had productive conversations with regulators from the Caribbean, South America, Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East where we discussed ways to harmonize our regulatory approaches to infrastructure resilience, expanded connectivity, and technological innovation.
The FCC delegation shared how the Commission, under Chairman Carr’s leadership, has adopted policies that benefit U.S. consumers, businesses, and our national interests under the Build America Agenda. We highlighted our work to increase access to reliable connectivity, boost the space economy, and strengthen network security.
I thank @BrendanCarrFCC for the opportunity, and I look forward to continuing to advance the FCC’s international priorities and America’s interests abroad.

Drones and artificial intelligence have become foundational to America’s economic and national security. These technologies have converged to profoundly impact healthcare, agriculture, war fighting, and more. American dominance in both technologies requires communications policy that prioritizes widespread deployment of trusted and secure networks, efficient use of spectrum, inter-agency cooperation, and regulatory humility.

Pillar V of the @WhiteHouse National Policy Framework for Artificial Intelligence called on Congress to make federal datasets accessible for AI development. In today's Ansible post, I discuss the idea of a U.S. data Accelerator, an outgrowth of a paper @timhwang and I recently published.
At a moment when technology is reshaping economies worldwide, U.S. leadership is critical. Voting for the United States is a vote for an ITU that remains focused on solutions that drive innovation and prosperity.
Having just launched our campaigns at CITEL, the U.S. asks for your support for the re-election of Doreen Bogdan-Martin as ITU Secretary-General, Jennifer Warren as the U.S. candidate for the ITU Radio Regulations Board (RRB), and the re-election of the United States to the ITU Council. Let's build a digital future together 🇺🇸

What does principled U.S. technology policy leadership look like? It looks like this address that FCC Commissioner @OliviaTrustyFCC delivered yesterday at the 2026 State of the Net conference.
It's one of the best speeches I’ve ever heard a regulator deliver. Let’s take a look:
What a treat to hear from NTIA Administrator @ArielleRoth at the Free State Foundation lunch today and to catch up with so many friends and colleagues! #FSFArielleRoth
