@JonathanTurley Time to start simply ignoring the AAUP. Such a small, unrepresentative group does not deserve the spotlight. Take away their spotlight, they will whither in the dark.
Grok Imagine prompt:
After the style of the TomSwift Jr dust jackets, create appropriate dust jacket artwork for this title: Elon Musk and his Satellite Swarm.
Christopher Nolan’s Odyssey depicts thugs instead of Heroes of Western Civilization, shows us trashy beat-up things and structures instead of Homer’s things of beauty. We see the ugliest and most deformed and spiteful Helen that can be imagined.
Summing up, Nolan has taken the sunlit world of the Odyssey and turned it into Gotham City.
Pass this one up.
We lawyers call superfluous language in a reported opinion as “mere dicta”. But this knocks on the door of what is “scandalous, false, and inflammatory“. Most State Bar Association have formal methods for dealing with this in pleadings. I don’t know that Hawaiian judges are exempt, they probably are not, but it is up to Hawaii to police their judges and their temper tantrums.
@wisconsin_now George Washington is our historical Superman. This film faithfully compresses much history into a smooth entertaining flow. The two hours plus passed in a flash. It is a must see.
@elonmusk@stevenmarkryan Elon is delusional if he really believes ordinary people are ever going to consent to having their brains attached to a computer.
@TheBabylonBee@grok Better than the last five “Best Pictures”, IMO. I particularly liked the first scene with Mr. Sprinkles. It gave the Musk character some depth.
@newstart_2024 The more important question is what is not happening in the homes that all these women have largely vacated: the babies unborn, the young acculturated by outside hands, the increasing emptiness of domestic life. That is where you will find lasting consequences.
I am an Employment Attorney with 30 years experience. In that 30 years I have found that HR departments almost invariably work only to protect their immediate supervisors. In return, they publish reams of policies which are largely ignored and they stir up trouble whenever they feel inconvenienced or threatened or even challenged. With AI, there is no excuse for getting rid of the lot of them.
