@brett_johnson91 A lot of people saying he's bad defensively haven't seen what Ron Washington has done with him this season. 9 outs above average, 5th overall in baseball. I'll take that defense and a .799 OPS any day of the week.
@NickNelsonMN 100% agreed. The starting pitching is going to be there. The offense isn't anything special, but when you have multiple guys at St.Paul with an OPS north of .900, there are some options there. Helps that the AL is terrible, but I think this team can stick around in the hunt.
@SKORNorth@DexsTweets I think JT Realmuto's contract is the starting point (3 years, 45 mil). Jeffers is much better offensively and the new ABS system plays to his strengths.
@thetwinsguy@VIkesin18 Fedko isn't on the 40 man, Kreidler is. Sometimes it is as simple as that.
Also Outman would have to be DFA'd, while Wallner has an option.
@KWR14_MyrtleBch@thetwinsguy This is dumb. Even if you have Jenkins/Emma at AAA, you need a RH option. Martin's approach looks amazing and his defense is much improved after working w/ Sizemore.
@tlschwerz James Outman. Kriedler can be a super utility in the OF and IF, plus RH bat. I know that means you'd have to DFA Outman, but plenty of OF lefty bats in the organization.
@J_D_Cameron Yeah you're not moving Larnach/Austin off their LF platoon, they are both feasting. Buxton at CF. Wallner not playing great, but you have to give him a shot to face more righties. You're not moving one of the top guys up without everyday at bats. Be patient Twins fans.
@SleeperMLBTwins Took the youngest and most experienced guy and gave him the hardest gig of having to enter in middle of the game. Definitely interested to see how he performs starting the game from the get-go with a normal warm up/prep.
@NickNelsonMN I just think you have two oft injured guys at 3rd and SS that you need someone who can play both positions. Kreidler played neither position last year and has never had an OPS north of .500 in the big leagues. I don't think Kriedler playing OF helps much with the roster currently
@NickNelsonMN Yeah I have almost exactly the same, I just think they might prioritize Wagaman with no options over Martin. Don't know a ton about Wagaman 's defensive prowess but know he can play 3rd as well.
@battl2heaven@thorku Offset language is for the next year's cap. I think we save 4 million from Hargrave and 8 million from Allen. Not save, but credited next year.
