I was already paying for cursor so grok bot was a "free" addon. Use any of the tools, I run OpenClaw locally right now!

I'm becoming more convinced that all the "routines" should be deterministic (or as close to deterministic as possible) anyways which means these tools are mostly for discovery and exploration

Using Grok Bot as our grocery manager. Can definitely work for OpenClaw and Hermes

Had it learn a year of Walmart + Amazon purchases. Now I just type “peanut butter, jelly, bread” and it adds our usual stuff to the cart.

Also tied it into Plan to Eat. Pretty slick

Grocery shopping is stupid simple with AI bots.

Now that most grocery stores offer pickup, this is really slick.

I’m using Grok Bot, but you could do the same thing with OpenClaw, Hermes, or even a locally running bot. It just needs access to a browser.

Setup:

1. Ask your bot to go through the last year of purchases from your grocery apps and put everything into one spreadsheet.

Have it add a simple name for each item too: “baby wipes,” “peanut butter,” “bread,” etc.

For us, that meant going through Walmart Pickup and Amazon. Let the bot eat, this took about 2 hours to finish for us.

2. Name the bot “Grocery Manager” and tell it to add anything you ask for directly to your cart.

We do one pickup a week, so this basically replaces our grocery list.

Now I can just type:

“Peanut butter, jelly, and bread.”

And it adds the same brands, sizes, and flavors we normally buy.

We also connected it to Plan to Eat, our meal-planning app, and that works really well.

The built-in grocery integrations never worked well for us because they don’t take our purchase history into account.

The bot does!

It already knows what our family actually buys.

I think I'd like a dedicated app even better for this problem!

Cursor now includes Grok Bot!

Think Hermes/OpenClaw-style, but all managed for you, and you get remote access to a cloud Linux vm (x11)

Worth a shot, especially if you haven't tried Hermes or Openclaw

@matsonj Beauty with ai now is those Linux things that used to take 1-4 hours to find the fix to or you'd just have to work around it are now just an ai query away from getting fixed (most of the time)

Ai might be the thing that gets us to desktop Linux. Omarchy for a while myself!

@zachlloydtweets Yes, there's a loop missing with all these tools that should optimize for us interacting with their suggestion or accepting it, as well as it knowing it only has a few minutes of our attention. There's a large idea here I've been playing with but can't quite get it working yet
