👀What's that? Flies 🪰 on the cover of @Dev_Cell ? (Fish 🐟 too) Congrats @WilcocksonScott on getting the cover, and yet another reason to plug Scott's work! Check out the stocks in @flystocks!

First Postdoc paper, first 🦓🐟 paper, first journal cover! 🥳
🎶On the fourth day of Christmas, Dev Cell gave to me: An improved Erk biosensor that detects oscillatory Erk dynamics driven by mitotic erasure during early development🎶

Caroline Hill @devsiglab has been a JCS editor since 2020 and handles articles relating to #developmentalsignalling and chromatin/epigenetics. Have a manuscript focussing on one of these topics? Send it our way! https://t.co/QZebNUI1ZQ
We are looking for 3 #postdoc fellows to join us!! Investigating embryonic patterning, signalling dynamics and buffering stochastic cell fate induction in #zebrafish and #hESCs@TheCrick@devsiglab

Want to study ERK dynamics in real time? There's an improved tool to do just that!
@WilcocksonScott and @devsiglab's paper is out! We made the fly version of Scott's new construct. Read about it here, and get the fly stocks @flystocks (#95284-8)!

For all your Erk-related needs, we have the reporter for you! And it’s out now!
Big thanks to Luca, Pablo, @AmoyelLab and @devsiglab

Our latest #NRMCBReview is now online!
Louise Richardson, @WilcocksonScott and Luca Guglielmi (now @MRC_LMB) from the Hill lab (@devsiglab@thecrick) discuss TGF-beta signalling in cell fate regulation:

Just like this ERK reporter, a new UDS Writing Club post is LIVE! Will Anderson describes great work by @WilcocksonScott in the Hill lab @devsiglab 🙌 https://t.co/6HHEkGRBRb
Submissions in Journal of Cell Science are handled by expert Academic Editors. From cell signalling, cell migration, cell adhesion, and cell division, through to cancer cell biology, immunology, mechanobiology and more, our team of research-active academics covers a range of topics and is supported by an international Editorial Advisory Board. We also show a strong commitment at first decision, with over 95% of invited revisions being accepted for publication. Find out more at https://t.co/WnFX8fa5Zm
Want Erk-cellent representation of Erk signalling dynamics?
@WilcocksonScott and colleagues from @AmoyelLab & @devsiglab explore an improved biosensor that faithfully reports Erk activity without being impacted by Cdk1.

For anyone interested in Erk signalling dynamics, particularly if your cells of interest are proliferative, please get in contact for plasmids or fish. Drosophila lines are already available at @flystocks (#95284-95288)

We’re very excited to present work headed by @WilcocksonScott in collab with @AmoyelLab on an Erk biosensor and signalling dynamics during early development. See 🧵 for the preprint in brief

Finally, we observe that Erk activity is highly dynamic: as cells approach mitosis, they rapidly (~2mins) extinguish pErk which introduces periods of inactivity, a process we refer to as mitotic erasure.
