We had a blast at @theiaconf! Kelsey Thomson, from Optimal Workshop shared that, "It felt like we were at home. It was wonderful to see all the attendees using Optimal Workshop and hearing about how the platform had made an impact in their IA work."
@doriantaylor@cydharrell@ursonate I would say they did listen to users. Consumers were seduced by it and asked for it. No one WATCHED users or CARED that they would DIE as long as they could meet regulatory requirements and still sell cars.
@cydharrell Hmm. I'm not sure I'm sold that this is really changing? This was the very first thing Tom Tullis said when he rode in a car w/ a touchscreen in (2001?), so it was OBVIOUS. And cars *have* to pass NHTSA driver distraction testing to get on the road, so where's the change?
@KatyWellhousen Makes sense until you’re 75+ and on a limited budget and suddenly rent is 80% of your income.
Hell, many people without rent control already have sticker shock from their rents doubling (?) in the last 5 years.
This guy *might* make an appearance at The Great Debate at #IAC23 tomorrow. Come hear @ryaninteractive and @optimalworkshop’s @Kelchup and me debate whether #IA should be a job title or skillset. 10;30am LaSalle A.
@perfectKeming @mataleo_gml @marcopesani Over the course of my career, I’ve worked on credit card statements, instruction manuals, medical devices with no digital component, bed linens, packaging, speech recognition systems, physical auto infotainment controls and more.
Should #IA be a job title or a skill set? Join @optimalworkshop at #IAC23 as industry experts @dgcooley and Kelsey Thomson bring this great debate to the stage. Don't miss it!

@amyhoy What are you going to do on it? 42.5" seems low for any standing activity, including just viewing. My sit/stand maxes out at 48" and I still need my monitor mounts just standing on the floor, never mind a treadmill.
@gizellie Probably not inspiring, but easy - Chicken Whatever. Put chicken breasts in 9x13 pan. Add 1 bottle of salad dressing/marinade/BBQ sauce/whatever of your choice. Bake at 400-425 until any salmonella is dead. Enjoy w/ rice and/or side of steamed frozen veggies.
@conniechiiiwa Sometimes I say, "You know how we have ergonomic keyboards to fit the way your hands naturally work, or ergonomic chairs to fit the way your body naturally sits? We make sure (physical or digital products/websites/apps) fit the way your brain naturally works."
A smidge off-topic for me, but I have a great #book recommendation - The Truth About Winter was released today and is full of #wisdom and #hope! Follow author @DixieDynamite for more and info on launch parties and the like!
