Govt machiney is NULL and VOID without Public Sector Banks. Ignoring our Rightful demand of 5 Days Working Week, is equivalent to Ignoring the public welfare. Set aside individual egos of the bureacrates and politicians and implement the 5 Days Week with immediate Effect.
An agreement must be honoured. A reward system must be fair.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The 5 Day Work Week for bank employees was agreed in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. Its implementation cannot remain pending indefinitely.
At the same time, a unilateral and discriminatory PLI framework that divides the workforce must give way to a fair, transparent and inclusive system for all employees.
Every achievement of our banks is the outcome of collective effort.
Recognition too must reflect that collective contribution.
We seek no privilege, only implementation of an agreed commitment, equality in reward and dignity at work.
@PMOIndia
India’s Bank employees seek two things rooted in fairness and dignity at work.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.
At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.
Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.
A motivated banking workforce strengthens Indian banking and the nation.
@PMOIndia
Kudos to Jana Small Finance Bank for taking initiative to get their employees vaccinated. Will other bigger Banks emulate Jana Small Finance Bank?

@CMofKarnataka Bankers have been providing uninterrupted service during d pandemic & have lost many lives. Parliamentary standing committee has recognised #Bankers as front line workers.@DFS_India has requested to vaccinate the bankers on priority irrespective of d age.
@DFS_India@nsitharaman@RBI@ChairmanIba Some banks do not follow the Covid related guidelines & force the employees who hv come in contact with Corona positive patients to attend office without mandatory quarantine. No wonder Corona cases among bankers is increasing every day.
Bankers r working tirelessly amid lockdown & Covid19 spread but still facing wrath of common people & authorities as well.
They lady who was assalted by policeman @CP_SuratCity is having 10 month old baby & now sustain fracture!!
@vibhavaridave@smritiirani#ShameSuratPolice
@nsitharaman@FinMinIndia@PIB_India Many bank employees working without gloves,masks & sanitisers due to shortage. Conveyance to branch & Social distancing are also problems. Pl have discussion with employees' unions also.They are connected with grassroots and can present the reality and give practical suggestions.
@nsitharaman@FinMinIndia@FollowCII@ficci_india@ASSOCHAM4India@phdchamber Madam, pl also arrange to hold discussion with representatives of all those engaged in providing essential services like police personnel, doctors & other hospital staff, municipality workers, bank employees, etc to hear and address their concerns. They are risking their life.
Tnk U Sir for the meeting and your confidence in the workforce. We still hold the view that the merger of banks will not yield any extra benefit to any of the stake holders - customers, employees, owners, nation and the Society at large -and hence need to be opposed by everyone.
A number of areas in the country are impacted by heavy rains. I request everyone especially colleagues @syndicatebank to take care and stay safe. The week-end Branch head meeting will be rescheduled by RMs and ZMs wherever necessary.
