@econoadabsurdam "Keep rates down"
I've yet to see an example of an LGA that has reduced their rates with the switch to fortnightly and assume an $800m cost per annum per Aarons post.
It's $160 a year per Victorian......
The Libsโ rubbish collection policy is weak, but the Labor stans screeching about it arenโt any better.
When Boroondara shifted to fortnightly collection, did residents actually see a reduction in rates, or was the cost quietly absorbed by property values jumping to $2.2m?
The Mayor of Boroondara, Wes Gault, just told Raf on ABC Radio Melbourne that the Victorian Liberalsโ promise of weekly red bin collections will be paid for in only two ways:
Cuts to other services, or
Higher rates.
Either way, you'll be paying for it.
@MisinfoFact@Melbourne_says What's culture war about having your rubbish picked up every week?
Isn't that the just asking local councils to do their job?
@senecaleland@dennysobes@LynAldenContact@Puncher522 Same stupid thing communists say when they implement their ideas.
'Oh we destroyed a country and killed millions, but at least we tried.'
Absolute dumb fucks.
