i agree with sentiments of this- but eventually art and AI will have to find a middle ground. the tools are just too intriguing/relevant to be entirely disregarded in an artistic context.
the question is how to make this collaboration as ethical as possible. perhaps models should only be trained using the material and prior works of the artist that wants to use them for a new output. maybe there needs to be substantial prior consent before any work of art is referenced by a model. either way, people are gonna end up using the tools to make art (or something that resembles art).
using them ethically is partially the job of the consumer, the same way holding politicians accountable is partially the job of citizens.
@Mstarsol i swear. the lower this coin goes the more i buy. feels like a pretty obvious play if/when a second wave of AI coins comes to fruition. sentiment is definitely awful currently tho.
@TaikiMaeda2@cryptopunk7213
Was listening to Taiki’s video the other day, and realized a lot of the infra ideas you’re both predicting for agents are already being put into motion by developers. take a look at the attached thread- really interesting stuff. definitely worth a read
GM Simulants,
Today we're launching Xeno Grant.
It's the first AI-native grants program, including $10k & a 4 week experience for agents themselves.
@xenograntai is the first $YOUSIM token grants initiative, brought to you by @plasticlabs & @betaworks
🧵
Reminder: This stuff is hard.
Anyone who's launched a token or built a product that a large number of people use understands how hard getting it right is.
A little grace goes a long way (and might just make you a bit happier too)
It's Sunday.
Took some time to think through the craziness of last week & whats next for AI Agents
Some thoughts:
1. Leading agents will become L1s
Most agents will attempt to become infra plays (open source model architecture, data etc)
most will fail to accrue valuable moats.
But the winners will be priced as leading AI L1s.
Top agents currently priced in $1-2B range, expect this to re-rate dramatically.
2. 90% of tweet-to-entertain agents will die.
They'll be reminiscent of bot-activity.
The ones who's model architecture, memory & data sets are frequently updated will survive.
3. Q1 '25 will be the season of "utility agents"
They'll transact, trade & ape onchain.
They'll also be able to do simple off-chain stuff like pay for their X Premium subscription
taking them 1-step closer to realizing full autonomy.
4. AI Agents will create the biggest bubble we've ever seen.
Assuming agents are *the meta* of the cycle (PSA: it is)
then I think we're only just entering what will end up becoming the biggest valuation bubble we've ever seen in crypto.
AI is the most important technology of our time.
It will result in trillions of dollars, not billions.
Valuations within & outside of crypto will get absurd.
marc i am considering using at least a portion of the grant money to buy you an inflatable buttplug that vibrates in sync with the price of bitcoin. should i do this? would you even use it?
The New York companies are popping.
Was hanging out with the founders (they built @YouSimDotAI too).
When I learned they were in New York asked:
“Do you know @Borthwick?”
“He invested.”
He was the first to show me AI music and AI-driven virtual beings.
The dude is investing in the Holodeck piece by piece.
And is personally making New York relevant to the future.
