A banker asking for time to celebrate his son’s birthday should not be met with humiliation or violence. Authority is meant to lead, not intimidate.
Every banker deserves dignity, respect, and a workplace free from fear. Silence today normalizes abuse tomorrow.

“Work-life balance” in some systems means:
Work till exhaustion.
Balance your mental breakdown quietly.
Young professionals are told they are the “future of the nation,” then welcomed with impossible targets, staff shortages, transfers far from family, endless pressure, and the timeless management philosophy, “adjust kar lo.”
Apparently, being overworked is called commitment. Anxiety is called performance pressure. Silence is called professionalism.
When a 22-year-old reaches a point where life itself feels heavier than the job, maybe the question is not about individual strength. Maybe the system should stop celebrating pressure as productivity.
Policies proudly speak about employment, growth, and development. Strange how nobody mentions the emotional cost hidden behind those glossy reports.
A workforce is not built by squeezing people dry. A country cannot progress by normalizing burnout and calling it discipline.
But yes, keep increasing targets. Human lives are clearly “non-performing assets.”

Transfers far from family and a lack of empathy towards employees' genuine concerns are taking a serious toll on bankers' lives. Performance improves with support, not suffering.
#5DaysBanking#BankersMatter
Toxic work culture for bankers?
Unrealistic targets.
Threatening behaviour.
Transfers far from family upon promotions.
No empathy for pregnancy or family issues.
No work-life balance.
No #5DaysBanking
Performance grows with motivation, not fear.

Viksit Bharat is being drafted in committees while banks run without staff.
One branch, half the manpower, full expectations.
Work-life balance is preached, but #5DaysBanking is treated like a threat to the Economy.
Government wants world-class banks with understaffed branches and fatigued bankers.
You can’t build Viksit Bharat on policies alone — nations grow when employees are valued, rested, and heard.

RBI data shows that 99.8% of transactions are digital.
98–99 out of 100 customers bank online.UPI operates 24×7, ATMs are steadily shrinking, and branches are no longer transaction-heavy. Yet, banking workweeks remain frozen in a 6-day model.
In a truly digital-first India, governance must evolve with technology—not lag behind it.
Efficiency, productivity, and employee well-being all point in one direction.
It’s time to modernise the system.

Delay of Indigo flights caused nationwide inconvenience.
That’s the risk of over-dependence on private players.
A simila pattern in the banking sector would affect millions
PSBs remain the backbone of India’s financial security.
Strengthen them; don’t sideline them.

We all are abreast about the severe and widespread passenger disruption caused by recent mass cancellation of @IndiGo6E flights. It implies a failure rooted in operational and managerial shortcomings and provides a powerful, real-time warning about the risks of over-reliance on concentrated private power in essential services.
When a dominant private player, even in compliance-related areas, suffers a systemic failure, the resulting crisis exposes a national vulnerability. This demonstrates that profit orientation in vitally important sectors often overshadows public service viz a viz national interest.
On similar backdrop, the implications for the banking sector are direct and critical. Just as a private airline's internal lapse can paralyze nationwide travel, the complete handover of the financial system to profit-driven entities through mass privatization poses a grave risk to economic stability and social equity. This is why Public Sector Banks (PSBs) are indispensable.
Unlike private entities, PSBs operate with an explicit mandate for social responsibility and national development, ensuring that they are answerable and accountable to nation.
The Indigo episode is a stark reminder that there is urgent need to vigorously protect and strengthen our Public Sector Banks being indispensable pillars for safeguarding the economic welfare of the common citizen and ensuring protection of the nation’s interest.

I request everyone to take a few minutes to watch this meaningful video shared by @aiboc_in. It powerfully captures the true essence and enduring importance of Public Sector Banks in our nation’s progress.
Public Sector Banks have not merely been financial institutions; they have been pillars of social responsibility, economic stability, and inclusive growth. From bringing banking to rural and remote corners, supporting small farmers, MSMEs, women entrepreneurs, and first-generation borrowers, to standing strong during national crises — PSBs have always placed people before profit and service before commercial gain.
In an era where narratives often get shaped by market-driven interests, it is essential to reinforce the reality that:
Public Sector Banks are the backbone of India’s financial ecosystem.
They are the lifeline for millions who rely on affordable and accessible banking.
Their contribution to nation-building cannot and must not be overlooked.
This video is a reminder of the values, the legacy, and the commitment that we as officers carry forward every day.
